I was not here for these challenge questions because yesterday was Jamaica's General Election, so between going out to vote, watching the process and analysis, I was very much preoccupied. 

I am also not binge watching any BLs; I am watching currently airing series which I have already started. This is mainly because I have been binge watching The Immortal Ascension at a very rapid pace. Furthermore it is unlikely that I will be binge watching any BLs anytime soon as I plan on moving on to other Wuxia dramas; namely Dashing Youth and its connected works. I also plan on watching Alchemy of Souls.

I may also be here less frequently. I am about to get very busy due to my legal studies. (I say this all the time and still end up here everyday lol 🤣)

Anyway, this has been my mini Update that no one ask for LOL

First of all, yes, you must provide a definitive answers or answers to yesterday’s question! we need your insight!

secondly, we will miss you if you are absent, but understand if you have other demands on your time. Just don’t forget about us or BLs. And I really want to see what you have to say about Shine once it’s over.

Triage, The Time Of Fever, Depth Of Field, Revenged Love, Secret Relationships and The Promise Of The Soul is also good provided they don't mess up the last episode. These are just off the top of my head. I haven't watched that many BLs either.

I haven't seen the ones you've mentioned but I saw the BTS of one episode of Cutie Pie yesterday and the same actors are also in The Next Prince which  I saw clips of but neither have high ratings. I'm kinda fussy with dramas in general so it really depends what I'm in the mood for. I usually like fast paced ones  so I can binge.

BL Challenge Day 29: Favorite BL Theme or Genre

I love the fake romance trope. I also love second chance romance. But I consider first love and “I love you but am afraid to tell you” the bread and butter of BLs, which means young love/school setting romances.  

I don’t like it when the couple takes too long to confess though. That’s frustrating. And I’d say I always want happy endings, but I have liked a few shows that don’t have them.

Slow Burn romance can be frustrating if not done right.

I loved Perfect 10 Liners! I also watched and liked KinnPorche (very early on) and Cutie Pie.

Waiting at the airport so I finished Connect, a very short YT series with no MDL page, so I started a new off-line list for Completed BL Dramas with no MDL page.  I'm not sure why since it's a Korean title, but maybe it's under the radar. 

I remember trying to submit a new title ages ago but it turned into a lot of work and it still wasn't enough, lol.  Connect wasn't all bad but not that good either. If I rated it I'd give it a 6-6.5. That's a "not very good" to "just okay" according to my rating guide. 😆  5 is my bottom number just for context. 

Anyways, hoping I'll have a chance to watch the newest ep of Stay by My Side After the Rain late tonight.

I loved it! The OST is a whole vibe on its own. I’ve had to rewatch a bunch of scenes thanks to that sneaky “automatic next episode” feature or because I skipped the end credits, but lesson learned!

My main complaint is the stupid comedy that didn't fit,

I agree about the comedy, but I’m actually enjoying it. Feels like it'll fall into the "series to relax and have fun" category. I watched episode 3 last night and thought I could squeeze in episode 4 too, but I totally passed out halfway through.  😂   Even though each episode is over an hour long, they fly by, unfortunately, so do the clock hands. Also, it’s got Pon and Nike, and the original creator is Sammon.

I just watched the first two episodes of Revamp The Undead story. This is what I wanted from a vampire bl series. 

As a girly that went through her twilight and vampire diaries phase (never really left the vampire diaries, though currently re-watching it) this is what I wanted for it. The effects for this one I would say is pretty on par with the vampire diaries and I think the effects for the vampire diaries was perfect. No complaints.  

I love how the store has been set up. I love the cast and who is in it.

 I have   to give a shout out to my baby barcode. He looks so good and handsome. I’m so proud of him. I feel like every show. He just gets better and better and he’s pushing himself and trying new things and I love that for him . It’s like seeing your little cousin or younger sibling doing something and then they’re doing so well and then you feel so proud. 

I’m excited for the romance for this like the way they set up the story for the romance part of it. I intrigued I’m here for it.
