Love in the Moonlight  ep 9

OK, here's my take. Pin needs to go through the wedding because she's absolutely miserable at home due to her stepmother, who finds fault with her at every turn. She found out the guy she's matched with is someone she met once or twice before, one she had a crush on, so she says she loves him. How could she not? He's now her savior from her miserable life. Pin is good at putting on a brave face and appearing happy but inside, she's unhappy. She tells Saenkaew why she's going through with the wedding. Now, our Prince has been miserable since realizing he's gay. and much more miserable after being blamed for his mother's death which was not his fault. In Sasin, he finds his own salvation for being accepted as he is. And Sasin is just a fool in love.

Everything you said is right. Pin and saenklaw's situation is just awful. Their families do not can about them at all using them for their own benefit. But the thing is, Pin is in love with someone who's gay and will never loves her back. I know she might think it's a better option than staying with her family, but marriage isn't something that lasts just a month or two, it's for a long time. And living without love, even if Saenklaw is a nice guy, will only make her miserable in a different way.

I love all of them and want them to be happy, but I really can't see how they'll make it work so that everyone gets their happy ending. Still I hope they find a way to make ithappen.

There's a romance but focus is more on the politics, more like in Shine, in my opinion. And there will be a season 2, obviously

Ohhh okay, that helps. I haven't finished Shine yet...it's frustrating cuz I want to but for some reason I stall with about half of the series I start watching and then my CW list gets longer.

BUT I just though of why that might be, as I'm writing this. I absolutely love starting a new drama. Like the newness and the anticipation is kinda like falling in love. But sometimes I stop around the halfway point and abandon it in search of a new drama or I go back to one I started a while ago.

Wow I sound like a flake. At least I don't do that with people irl. I don't want to fall for them just to leave them. 😵‍💫

OMG THIS IS TODAY , * DIES * 😆 , thank you ! 🥰

👍 😁

My Secret of Seer trailer. Starts today!

Even though I don't watch ghost/horror/etc dramas I post for others, lol. I'm nice like that. 🤣

OMG, I lasted about 4-5 seconds. Just the music gave me goosebumps. Not watching that one.

 Tina:

I haven't been watching dramas in 3 weeks, send help.

Having any withdrawal symptoms? I would personally treat symptoms with ice cream, then slowly introduce BLs into your everyday life. One step at a time.

For me it's more a question of mood, particularly for shows around politics, or with "heavy" themes : I have to be open and focused enough to fully appreciate them, this won't do if I'm feeling down or stressed by work etc.

I absolutely recommmend you Shine (spoiler : yes it's probably my fav BL this year 😁)

RE: Love in the Moonlight  Here's my unconventional solution: I think it's Ming, Sasin's band mate, who's in love with Pin. Have Ming, Sasin,  Saenkaew and Pin live in a duplex. To the outside world, Saenkaew & Pin are a couple while Ming and Sasin are roommates. Their duplex has an interior connection, so they can come and go as they please. This doesn't allow Saenkaew and Sasin to live openly as a gay couple. And my assumption is that Pin only thinks she's in love with Saenkaew because of her girlhood crush, seeing him as her savior and he IS a really nice guy. But based on her conversation with him, her main reason for the marriage is to leave he father's house.

This solution appeases the parents, but may anger Saenkaew's father because he already knows about Saenkaew and Sasin's relationship. It's the only thing I could come up with unless Songsawat gets further involved and the Field Marshall dictates a solution.

Oh she’s awful! But I love the series!

Not everyone can plow through a show, especially a heavy one. i have a friend who loves BLs but has like 50 unfinished because she’s always starting new ones and never finishing. She often stops during the third act break up or right before, because she knows it’s getting stressful. But she also just likes starting new ones like you.
i know it seems like I get through a ton of shows but I do need to be in the right frame of mind for certain ones. Sometimes it’s easier with one episode a week because I can’t get as invested since I only get small doses of each show. Still, I watch a lot of different shows at once so I can skip around with my mood. And I’m always rewatching something comforting just in case I need it.

i finish a lot because I have a lot of time without much else to do or not feeling able to do much else. So I appreciate being able to escape into shows.

but my advice for everyone is that this is for entertainment! If you’re not entertained, don’t watch. And it’ll always be there later if you change your mind. It’s easy to get FOMO when you’re part of a fandom, but you’re not less of a fan if you don’t watch everything. I just have the time and don’t mind mediocre shows. But something like Mandate will go on my back burner until and if I think I can handle it at some point. I’m usually glad I’ve watched serious shows once they’re over, but not always. I’m still upset over the rape scene in a sparkle in your eye. I don’t know why that scene was so much worse for me than any other show but it just was. But even if I’d known about it ahead of time I still would have watched it, thinking I’d be fine. And it was a really good show overall. So we don’t always know until we try shows out, right?

Yes to this! First and always I want drama watching to be fun, and other times, in the right mood, I can  watch more serious shows, but more slowly. If I have to stop/drop a series that's ok too.

True, true!  I sure don't have enough time, let alone for rewatches. These days I'm not even paying attention to my PTW list.
