My Secret of Seer ep1
i like the premise/set-up of this show, even though it’s sort of like a lesser, more comical My Magic Prophecy. But episode 1 had some pacing issues and was boring in parts. Still, I like the MLs chemistry so I’ll keep watching.
Mu-Te-Luv: Diva Deva Mata episode 1
i love the cast of this show but so far it’s too over the top for me. It feels silly. I did like seeing Marc and Mick, but even though Neo is talented, his physicality is still so male, so I didn’t find his character as believable as the others. Plus the whole premise feels a bit stupid to me. But while I like mythology and supernatural themes, I’m not as big a fan of superstitions and possession. Since it’s only 4 episodes I’ll still watch it, but it’s not my thing at all.
A Man Who Defies the World of BL 2024 episodes 3 & 4
i enjoy this show because it makes light of all the BL tropes while still letting a lot of them happen. I would like to see more of a romance, but at least this kind of satiric humor is more my speed. Plus, I’m embarrassed to say it took me this many episodes to realize the lead is the same actor from our dining table, and I’ve seen that like 4 times. But the characters are so different I just didn’t make the connection. I guess I have too many faces in my head to remember! (Plus subtitles distract me.)
Tinted with You (2022)
I watched this Korean period BL years ago but didn’t remember it. I now know and love Junhee and ACE so I thought I’d watch it again. (Junhee is the star.) It’s very short, but I enjoyed it. The period drama elements are downplayed because of budget issues, but it has a sweet love story, and a good ending. It was nothing amazing but it made for a nice, low-key watch that can be viewed in one sitting. (It’s about an hour and a half). It also involves artist characters, which I like. I enjoyed this rewatch and I would watch it again.
Yes, Junhee is cute and a decent actor, and he is not afraid to embrace the role. Yay for K-pop idols in BLs!
