But for now I'm going to have a Friday night BL marathon, yipee! I'm going to try to stay awake long enough to watch the first ep of the following dramas:

School Trip: Joined a Group I’m Not Close To, Therapy Game,  At 25:00 in Akasaka Season 2 and Your Divorce is Served!

I already have 7 airing BLs on my CW list so why not a few more. All this before Me and Thee and Phuwin in 9 hrs!! 😍 ❤️‍🔥

Your list is (not surprisingly) much closer to what my own Top 10 JBLs would be ... if I could narrow it down to just ten.

Yes, but what I also appreciate about JBLs is their originality and non-interchangeability, i.e. much less of the "follow the herd" tendency that we often see in the Thai BL industry. While I love Thai BLs, including even some of the mediocrities and trainwrecks (especially where Thai cuties are involved), sometimes they blur together. Even KBLs, despite their generally high quality, sometimes blur together for me - but I can't think of any JBLs where this is the case.

You already watched it now, and I know you don't (yet) have VPN, but for the benefit of anyone else who wants to watch the original "Cherry Magic" series: I watched it on WeTV via VPN to Bangkok. (That was a while back, but I assume it's still online.)

It was alright, and it gets better towards the end, but I would definitely not put among my Top 10 JBLs. On the other hand, you might love it. As the old saying goes, "That's why they make vanilla and chocolate.")

I think you'll like it, and it's a short watch. Unfortunately, I don't think there was ever an international release, so you'll need a fansubbed version. (I'll message you.)

next up movie besides a pre-2005 movie for the 2025 BL challenge is The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese. 

Although there are those who like "Cornered Mouse", I definitely did not, not least because I found it quite dark, toxic and unhappy. Flawed characters can be interesting, but I just didn't feel engaged with either protagonist.

Despite the very different vibe, there's a certain truth in this - although we don't yet know enough about the café owner to say that he's "green flag".

Punks Triangle, Peach Trap, Therapy Game, and School Trip are my weekly dose of cuteness. The stories are super engaging and the characters are just so charming!

I'm not sure adding another streaming option is the best idea.

Netflix has very few BLs, but where they do have something, it's usually worth watching. (Upcoming: "The Boyfriend S2" and "Soul Mate".)

I haven't yet started on this one, so I'll be interested to hear your feedback. (As far as I know, the gay relationship is more the story context than the focus, so it doesn't seem to be a "BL" in the usual relationship-building sense, but it sounds potentially interesting.)

Thanks for your preliminary feedback. I'll probably give it a try in due course, but no rush.

It does show my open-mindedness though, haha. The sound of a good story def overrides which country the drama is from. And if I'm enjoying the series after starting it then it's a win/win! If not I just move on. 

I do have 15 JBLs plus a few movies currently in my Top BL Picks list. I mean, it's not much out of 119 titles but I think it'll increase after I finish a few current ones. 

Dora mentioned JBLs being memorable, or smth like that. They are more unique for sure. 😆

I said they have a special quality absent from most other BLs. Mr. P said they are distinctive and not just the same stories repeated. (Not that we don’t love that too if it’s well-done or features major cuties.)

but as he’s said before, Mr. P and I have very similar views on a lot of shows, especially JBLs and comfort watches. I just sometimes like the darker ones and he doesn’t usually.

I climb the walls with all that waiting. You are stronger than most. I can't remember the last series I watched week by week, episode by episode.  I go crazy just waiting.

Lol. I currently have 10 series airing that I'm watching, and since there are so many BLs airing, I just pick the ones that interest me the most to watch weekly, while I leave the others for after they finish. But as you can see here, I sometimes crack, especially when there are a lot of good feedback.

The waiting becames less tiring when you have so many dramas to watch, at least it does for me lol.
