No, I’m talking about Tide of Love. I’ve got just two episodes left, and honestly I’m watching it just for fun at this point, trying to guess what random object they’ll move out of the shot next, how many times they’ll button and unbutton the same shirt, or how many times that character will walk through the same door! 🤦♀️
But if I want something with more intensity, more serious, Buddy Boy’s my choice.
Hmmm, interesting nomination. I had mixed feelings about this one: It's a serious and heavy story which is well done given the limits of micro eps, and I give them credit for attempting something more serious and substantive (unusual for reels), but I liked it less and less as it went along, not only because it's depressing (homophobic Korean village life, abusive dad) but also because it felt heavy handed, especially the ending.
I totally agree with your take. It’s a heavy series, and the ending really did feel kind of forced. But for some reason, one I can’t quite explain, I actually really liked it. I kept thinking about it long after I finished.

Is anyone watching Tide of Love? I am so confused about what the series is trying to represent. I keep watching and getting frustrated but i can't look away. Maybe because I like SUK films and i want to support them but honestly it is a train wreck. Such mixed messages and seriously toxic. I am all for BDSM but i feel like they are misrepresenting it
I’m watching it too, and I’m all for BDSM, but I completely agree that they’ve twisted the way it’s represented. The production quality is just so low, so low, that honestly I don’t even know how they managed to put this series out. I’m usually pretty lenient in my reviews, especially with indie productions, and I almost never give a score below 5 because I know how much effort goes into creating something. But I just didn’t feel that with this one. It comes across more like a bunch of random scenes and meaningless lines. Which is a shame, because it could have been an interesting story.

It’s a fun romantic comedy that does a great job showing what BDSM really is, what can go wrong, and how to properly mix D/s dynamics with sex and/or romance. It’s bold and confident, with sharp direction and fearless performances. On top of that, it also touches on the challenges that can come up in workplace relationships.

I totally agree. I wish the best for both of them, but I’m really going to miss seeing them act together. Their chemistry is out of this world. And I already know I’ll be rewatching Wandee Goodday and Memoir of Rati over and over! 🫣😇

I’m totally with you on your review. I was planning to watch it over the weekend, but I couldn’t sleep last night and ended up watching it then. I absolutely loved it! And I’m definitely watching it again this weekend. If they don’t give us a sequel, I’m going to be really, really mad. I love music and dance, so I connected with the series so much. And when I heard River Flows in You by Yiruma (my favorite pianist), I fell for it even more.
