I think many tropes could apply to them. But Arthrit definitely becomes golden retriever even if subdued one. Except not subdued for him.
Yeah I know that’s not adequate but I couldn’t really find another trope to describe it. Maybe forced proximity then hurt/healing then grumpy/sunshine where grumpy is more just closed off and sunshine is open and honest and unafraid once he realizes his feelings. But not exactly “sunshine.”
But lovable story all the same. I felt Oat conveyed a lot with such a stoic character, and Ngern really sold Arthit’s transformation over time.

Yes and no. Arthrit has dog-like qualities, but his temperament is too fiery and strong-willed to specifically be a "golden retriever" type. As to Daotok: Yes, definite "black cat" vibes.

that's why i seldom watch trailers and pilot episodes. wait, correction to that, i watch the trailers and pilot episodes after i've watched the series so i dont expect and be disappointed =D

Yeah, it happens quite often that the actual series are rather different from the pilots, which in Thailand usually seemed to be aimed first and foremost at getting funding from potential sponsors. Actually, the first part of "Fourever Yours" wasn't so far from the pilot - but the two stories so far in "FY2" (and presumably the third story) go in very different directions.
I'm usually too much of a cheapskate to pay for WeTV "fast track", but I just bought the final episode of "Sun From Another Star" because I must see how it ends!
@Dora: I'm not sure if "wonderful variation of Grumpy/Sunshine trope" fully captures the Arthrit/Daotok multi-faceted character quirks and relationship dynamic, but I can't think of a better way to express it in simple words. In any case, I'm lovin' it!
Yeah I get that part of the trailers is to gain funding. Additionally it could also be that the studio was unsure when they began to produce the series, if they are going to put all of these in a one single series format (which we now kind of got with season 1 and season 2) or if they would have budget to separate these into different series happening in the same universe.
I think if they had the funding the Sun from another Star could have been produced as it's own spin-off, then they could have probably had more episodes and maybe even have the style to be different. I do get it that in general, if the previous pairs didn't have too spicy scenes than to some watchers it would have felt strange or even uncomfortable that suddenly one pair at the end had lot more spicy scenes.

I differentiate between pre-production pilot trailers and official pre-release trailers. I don't take pilot trailers too seriously, not only because they're mainly fishing for funding but also because the series hasn't yet been produced, is often not even written, and may not ever happen.
On the other hand, I expect pre-release trailers to give me an accurate idea of what I will watch, and in the best case, I find that watching them calibrates my expectations and gives me a bit of intro so that I enjoy the series more when it starts (usually the next week).
In the case of "Fourever You", there's a special factor for me personally: I feel a special nostalgic attachment to Wabi Sabi and its BL legacy, and I would be very sad to see it die. If the success of "Fourever You" breathes new life into it, I'm willing to overlook things.

I'm still unsure if I am thrilled or horrified that a concept born from fanfiction is making it's way to real ppl acting series. Like I know this isn't the first one, I did watch the ABO Desire and thought it was okay.
However ABO Desire had a rather complex plot to it. Knowing how Knot has been promoted so far and what kind of series Boat and Oat acted in previously, has me a little concerned is this going to be just another excuse to make something closer to adult movie content rather than a BL series that should have some kind of element of relationship development to it. 😅
This of course very dependent on personal preference, and I know this will probably be very popular just having seen the views the trailer has gotten so far.

Will the series air 25th of April or new promotional material. The teaser was not that good in my opinion but the pilot or trailer that was released before that got me hyped

Supposed to air on the 25th. Yeah the pilot from Feb was interesting. Guess we'll have to see how it is, just as the current convo mentions how a series can change between the pilot and the actual production.

Me too! I don't have the attention span to watch a complete pilot, which doesn't make sense since I can watch long dramas. 😂 But yeah I don't want to know too much either.
