i really wish we could have more dramas with couples that switch or are more flexible. i'm certainly not against strict top/bottom dynamics, but real relationships aren't always that black and white. and i think a lot of stories would be more interesting if we allowed for more different dynamics. but ig maybe the public isn't quite ready for that yet idk but hopefully that will shift in the future

Whoever’s name comes first is because they are the top in the relationship. TeeteePor didn’t want to have to choose so they tried “PorTeeteePor” but fans couldn’t handle that I guess. In the show they have a conversation about who will be top or bottom. Maybe you got that far. But I think they discussed it to point out that it could’ve been different but they made a choice about it. I loved that they discussed it and didn’t just assume. Btw, a couple where either can be top or bottom is called “switch” or “vers.” But I guess the BL fandom isn’t ready for that. The fandom can barely handle a muscular bottom. (People got mad when Dunk bulked up for Dare You to Death.) Pavel has been vocal about being proud to be a muscular bottom but PoohPavel are definitely not the norm in BL land. BLs still tend to follow a traditional top as bigger and more masculine and bottom as smaller and more feminine. Some real-life couples are like that but not everyone by any means, so BLs still tend towards more idealized or imaginary than real.

This is the scene referred to in the spoilers in our discussion above about Duang With You. Otherwise referred to as the top vs bottom conversation between Qin and Duang. This is from episode 7. It will by no means ruin the series if you watch it before episode 7, but if you’re already binge watching for the finale tomorrow, I’d wait and watch it in context. It’s better in that way.

If, like Art Girl, you dropped the series, this scene is worth watching or revisiting. I wish we saw more open conversations about sex in BLs.
