ok, that sounds better, I couldn't imagine watching various bad BL dramas all in a row, it must be hell. Did you avoid Fahlanruk and Love Is Like a Cat? Because these 2 are pretty bad.
Fahlanruk is on the list but Love Is Like a Cat is not as it is Korean and not part of my Thai BL challenge. Maybe I should be greatful for that from all the bad things I keep hearing about it.
I dropped Love is like a Cat in the middle of ep 2, it was bad, terribly bad.
As for Fahlanruk I watched it till the end, but honestly stopping latest after ep8 will save you from great pain. It's the kind of drama that has no story, thus they replaced the plot with NC scenes that are supposed to be hot.
I think the screenwriter mistook alcoholism for romanticism: every time the ML has an argument with his sex friend, he gets wasted, then angry/violent and enters more fights with the lover so he can get wasted again. I guess the company sponsoring this BL must be a wine reseller or a manufacturer of alcoholic beverages, or maybe some private clinics specializing in digestive diseases. Anyway, watch it in x2 speed (x4 is also fine, watching the first and last 5 mins of each ep also works pretty well).
I gave it a 5 but if I had to rate the last 4 eps, it would most probably be a 2. Just thinking about it makes my head hurt…

Was anyone else a little disappointed by the last two episodes of lobe of silom too? For me the last two were not that good because Kirits character development was bad like suddenly he isn't a green flag in my eyes Anymore. He is a yellow flag
I found ep4 and 5 still ok but yes in ep6 Krit is turning into an immature jealous and grumpy lover, when Wayu is trying his best to make their relation work. I didn't like the end of ep5, honestly the only thing Krit deserves is for Wayu to give him the cold shoulder and ignore him for the next days or so. He respects none of Wayu's bondaries while requesting him to not go public about their relationship and acts like a teenager dating for the first time. I'm upset, hopefully this situation ends soon.

I didn't mind it and even thought it was strangely amusing - but I'm an insensitive boob-less guy.
What bothered me wasn’t that they wanted to touch each other. I wouldn’t even be bothered if a straight guy with a boob obsession was like that with his female partner. My problem was it felt like they were straight guys wanting to touch women’s boobs, but since they were dating each other they had to settle for man boobs. It was just one of the things that made it feel to me like straight guys pretending to be gay.

If I had any doubts about "Fahlanruk" (which I don't), this would be the deal-breaker. I really hate alcohol abuse (among other things), although it's KBLs featuring Korea's toxic drinking culture usually irritate me the most.

I just rewatched About Youth. It’s a great Taiwanese comfort watch.
Thinking about it and maybe not a total comfort watch for you since one of the characters is having trouble because his parents don’t understand him.
Someone mentioned Time of Fever which is fabulous but I wouldn’t call it a comfort watch either.

This is a really good list for lightweight comfort watches. @Gabster, I don't think there's an easy way to sort or filter these lists, but you can easily search (Cntl-F) for "Japan" or "Korea" - but there are three pages (at least on the MDL web version), so again on each page.

I think the best and most magical review on Fahlanruk that's ever being written is "Hands-down the worst-written BL of all time" from jpny01. If you have a minute to spend on this drama, it should be on reading this review, you get it all: reviews (look for the second one from jpny01).

That's also how I took it
Don't be scared: It's basically a comfort watch. It does a good job of touching on some serious themes, and addressing them intelligently, but without getting too heavy.

I love sayings and proverbs, in French and any other language I learn. I thought "tous les goûts sont dans la nature" was pretty common, didn't even give it a thought. I also use "il y en a pour tous les goûts" quite often, same meaning.
When I asked people around me I was the only one who didn't knew about it 😆, "il y en a pour tous les goûts" I use it.
The most beloved drama I disliked was Century of Love. I just couldn’t get into the story.
