Our Dining Table: 7 out of 10. It was nice but rather boring.
Awww, I adore that one. In addition to the excellent leads, the little kid is an amazing actor. So cute and funny how he always says "yukata" (summer kimono) instead of Yutaka, haha. (When I was a little kid, I supposedly said "pasghetti" instead of "spaghetti" - not on purpose, it's just how it came out. Just for example.)
Oh well, since you didn't like it so much, I won't give my usual sales pitch for the utterly charming special episode "Bokura no Kyuujitsu" ("Our Holiday").

Yeah, it seems that the cute dramas are not really for me. Although a score of 7 is good enough imo. I didn't expect much from this series. I think I'm better off watching the dark series that have genres like thriller, psychological and stuff like this. I have 5 good titles like this lined up for my 200-200 checkpoint (2 movies, 3 dramas until I get to 200th drama and 200th movie).

I feel like most people had that happen to them. For example, in Hebrew there are a lot of words that look and/ or sound almost the same, so I had and sometimes still have trouble speaking. There were times when people didn't know whether I was trying to say: to see, to show, or to shoot (a gun).

Drama update!
Completed
• Blazing Him: Some heavy themes but soft and sweet with ultimate green flag guy. Between all this forceful love going on, this came at the right time.
• Crazy Love - Moo Moo: you know what, it had a good message about also being complicit when you remain silent against wrong doing. That's all the good I can say for this drama. 😮💨
• Fix the Error!: It was different from all the other plots I've been watching, so that was nice. The whole drama is like 60 minutes so it doesn't take long.
• Gangster Like Me Got a Boyfriend: (Vertical) I consider this unwatchable it was so bad. I think something might have happened to the original copy because some scenes just don't make sense together.
• My Bromance: (movie) Surprisingly good. This is the best role I've seen Fluke play.
• My Bromance: (drama) this is both a direct sequel and a remake, and because there is about 6 hrs of content, goes into a lot more detail than the movie. I would say I like both equally. Unknown is still king of all step brother trope.
• Night Dream: I recently sub back to youku and was browsing when I saw this. Shocking because youku has maybe 5 BL on the whole platform.😅 This one was average.
• Sotus S: Had to watch the sequel for my challenge. 😮💨 I knew from the plot it was going to be a downgrade and I was right. It was almost like no progress happened in their relationship since the first season.
• That's My Candy: That's and 1hr 1/2 I'll never get back. Honestly the first episode set up was fine. I don't know wth everything else was. And the made everything with a name have the word candy in it! 😑
• Trapped By My Ex's Uncle: (Vertical) Not as toxic as it sounds. But whether that makes it better or worse is individual. 😁
New
• Are The Sexy Buttocks Not Good?: I love age gap dramas so this isn't bad so far. But I can't help but feel this is a copy, paste of Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami, a little in plot but mainly in production wise.
• Blue Lips: Interesting, nice. 🤞Let's see.
• Peach and Me: I had to ease into this. I forgot how jarring the humor can be at first, but man have I missed it. What makes this so great is how Peach finds so much joy in Thee being unapologetically himself. Thee being the sweetest green flag to ever walk definitely helps. There might not be enough time to develop any EmiBonnie but I still got excited see them. 🥰 This short drama already has me in its grasp.
• Sin and Love: Low production, but it's some of the directing choices that make this feel cheap. Not worth watching atm.
We all know the obsessions going around at the moment so no need to list that. 😉
Gabster:
in Hebrew there are a lot of words that look and/ or sound almost the same
From my dabbling in Duolingo, I quickly discovered that Hebrew is really difficult, above and beyond the alphabet - and I didn't even get to this part. Eep!

Our Dining Table: 7 out of 10. It was nice but rather boring. I managed to finish it without too much struggle though. I initially wanted to give it an 8, but between thought and website, it ended up being a 7.
I’m sorry this wasn’t really for you. I loved it so much! I’ve watched it many times over.
How do you do? I hope you're all doing well. I'm still alive, in case you were wondering. A lot of things have happened in the past three months, some pleasant, some less, but I'm back 😄

I bet this is the most active forum on MDL. We're producing around a hundred pages per month. With my three-month absence I had to read over 350 pages. That's like a novelette 😮

I had no idea so many things have changed on MDL. I can't edit my profile, tables are all over the place... I was unaware there is such a thing as Boys Love group, which looks like yet another forum. So many discussions are there, I'm already overwhelmed. Honestly, I'm so thankful for our BL club, I hope it's not going to disappear. The atmosphere here is inimitable. Coming back here after a long absence feels like coming home after a long journey and that tells a lot about the kind of people you are 💗

And totally and completely unrelated to anything here...but the CUTEST little bird I have ever seen. He's my laptop screen pic. I'm only posting it cuz I'm taking advantage of my day, muhahaha...and I love birds!
If he could be a stuffie I'd be first in line to get him.
OMG, that's raniuszek! Fun fact: raniuszek has been chosen the bird of the year in 2025 in Poland. I've seen these birds only once in my life, because they live in the forest and they don't fly to the city. They're so adorable and cheerful 🥰

To make this BL related - I'm currently watching:
Interminable (2eps) -> I've read some opinions about this drama, so I'm keeping my expectations low. So far I haven't got much to say about it, I neither like it nor dislike it.
Double Helix (2eps) -> I've seen the original films, but that was long ago, so I probably forgot most of the story. Xiao Chen is so adorable. Him and Lu Feng are pretty cute together. Then there are people who can't mind their own business. This is why we can't have nice things.
The Edge of Horizon (3eps) -> I've had a feeling this was going to be a good drama and so far I'm not disappointed. The main couple's got amazing chemistry, the atmospheric NC scene was beautiful, the conflict is there and I'm so curious about how it resolves. I need to watch today's episode...
I'm torn about Don't Be Too Emotional. After watching the pilot months ago I fell for this series instantly and I wanted to watch it right away. Then I've seen that trailer just before the series came out and it dampened my enthusiasm. I've decided to wait until all the episodes are out. Then I've read @RXinw's posts and I'm tempted to start watching now 🤔
I'm on the fence about Knot as well. In my time I've read quite a few omegaverse fanfics and yes, most of them use alpha-omega dynamics as an excuse for writing smut. There are some, though, which give a deeper meaning to omegaverse. They depict a hierarchical society, divided into 'better gender', the privileged alphas, and 'worse gender', the opressed omegas (and non-important betas). Some dive deeper into relationship dynamics, whether it's just a matter of biology or are genuine feelings involved. Some explore personal boundaries in love and in life. Judging by what you've written about this drama so far, we can't really count on such a thorough approach, can we?

Brace yourselves, I'll be spamming more 😈
ElementalStar:
My Bromance: (movie) Surprisingly good. This is the best role I've seen Fluke play.
Ditto. Depressing but really good.
However, be warned: I was deeply disappointed by "My Bromance 2: 5 Years Later", and the "Reunion" thing they did (which bridges the two) is probably the most awful retcon in the history of BL.

This is a new feature, so I have to try it out 😄

I started watching dramas and BL in 2022.
Also thanks for the wishes! I am no longer in a drama slump but I'll keep quiet in case it rears its ugly head again 😂

I’m quoting this since I can’t quote your long post. Welcome back! I can’t believe you read all the pages you missed! Impressive. Thank you for all your kind words. This group really is special. Even if our feed has to move eventually, we won’t stop being us. 😊

If you count manga then 2004 😁
omg that's a while ago. I started watching BL in 2007/2008 with Gravitation anime. Nostalgic.
