Awww, I adore that one. In addition to the excellent leads, the little kid is an amazing actor. So cute and funny how he always says "yukata" (summer kimono) instead of Yutaka, haha. (When I was a little kid, I supposedly said "pasghetti" instead of "spaghetti" - not on purpose, it's just how it came out. Just for example.)
Oh well, since you didn't like it so much, I won't give my usual sales pitch for the utterly charming special episode "Bokura no Kyuujitsu" ("Our Holiday").
I watched the special episode too. Gave it the same score, a 7 to keep up with the main title.
But it was good. Just not necessarily my cup of tea. I like thriller and comedy more than slice of life and slow burn romance.

Honestly, I'm so thankful for our BL club, I hope it's not going to disappear. The atmosphere here is inimitable. Coming back here after a long absence feels like coming home after a long journey and that tells a lot about the kind of people you are ๐

omg that's a while ago. I started watching BL in 2007/2008 with Gravitation anime. Nostalgic.
I remember when the first volumes of the gravitation manga hit the shelves! It was only the first 6 volumes. Had to wait months before the second half came out. ๐ฉ

It was a magical time. I was reading Naruto fanfiction (back when Naruto was still just a manga in America) to get my BL fix. When I went to the bookstore, they had my first BL manga Only The Ring Finger Knows and Gravitation. I bought OTRFK first and a week later bought all 6 volumes they had of Gravitation. That's when I discovered the BL animes like Papa to kiss in the Dark, Sensitive Pornograph (total perv here ๐), Ai no Kusabi (this one is a classic), and a few other I'm embarrassed to have watched.

In my case, Gravitation anime was the first piece of BL media I've ever seen. It was aired on TV back when we had dial up internet and there was no way BL manga would just show up in bookstores. (I lived in a village too, the same one I live in now, so yeah).
I have not heard of Only the Ring Finger Knows! Is it a good manga?
Well, I started reading fanfiction in 2010 on the site fanfiction.net, then moved to AO3 years later. It was a wild ride though, ff.net does not have the filters AO3 does.
I watched shady BL anime (namely yaoi) and read some BL manga back then. I don't know which one was my first BL manga, I can't remember. I was reading some doujinshis too.
Yeah, I've seen the first two anime you mentioned sadly. I have never seen Ai no Kusabi though. Is it worth watching? I haven't seen a lot of anime lately though, so I might not watch after all.
Embarrassed by what I watched/read back then. Now I exclusively watch BL dramas so I can clearly say my tastes have changed for the better. It helps that there's plenty of things to choose from compared to 2008 lol
โข Night Dream: I recently sub back to youku and was browsing when I saw this. Shocking because youku has maybe 5 BL on the whole platform.๐ This one was average.
Of special interest to my fellow Domundi enthusiasts: This has Ohmkrit in his first lead role plus Namping in his first supporting role (both pre-Domundi). Otherwise, it's flawed and low-budget but an enjoyable quick watch.
