wow! congrats! i didn't know you just started bl last year =D

It feels like forever! I remember that Pit Babe season 2 was airing when I started, and I was eagerly waiting for the next episode. The addiction got really quickly super real ;-)

it does. i hope you didnt experience any bl withdrawal symptoms lol

I didn't, but I overdosed ;-) I was so fed up with average to (very) bad series, I wanted to give up. That's the reason why I joined MDL in Feb this year. I wanted to better track which shows I watched, get some proper recommendations on good BL series and discuss it with people as intoxicated as I was. Joining this forum was the best thing that could have happen to me.

lol, this made me laugh =D

Don't Be Too Emotional eps 1-3

I gave in to @RXinw's influence and I've watched the first three episodes. So far, the story delivers.

3 more days and we get ep4! Can't wait for it!

I actually find it rather helpful to let new pairs like these act separately so that they can individually show what they can do.

I also think that's a good idea we can focus on individual acting skill.

I loved it.

As with most JBLs, it's tightly focused on the protagonists and on the development of their feelings, plus Kai is an especially interesting, still-waters-run-deep character (as well as a cutie-patootie).

My favourite scene (when Kai comes to collect Hiro from binge-drinking with his co-workers):

I liked it. I binge watched it, all the episodes in the same evening. I remember spending a nice evening. I gave it a 8/10. Nothing wild nor crazy but a sweet love story.

@Art Girl (pure and innocent): Not for you.
@RXinw (not so innocent): For you.

oh this gave me such a good laugh. But it's so so accurate ;-)

Same but it was 8.5/10 for me. And I have the same favourite scene as Mr. P

Wow, adding this to my PTW with this level of admiration. 😉

I gave it an 8/10 too. I can't really remember much of it but i enjoyed it at the time.

I love it! I have watched it repeatedly!

Also, while I like the theme song from Don’t Be Too Emotional, I’m totally obsessed with the OST from Deep In. I have been listening to it on repeat all week. There is actually a feed devoted to it since some of the songs are hard to find. Deep In OST

Here’s the end credits song by Ollie: Tiger in My Love

I also think the show is amazing. I especially love how it switches between the drama within the drama and real life. It definitely questions how these boundaries can get blurred.

So far Deep In and Payback are my two favorite shows this year, along with Fake Fact Lips. Hopefully no endings will ruin my love for the currently airing shows.

I feel like there are so many good shows right now that even some of the best ones are getting lost in the shuffle. Shout out to The Prosecutor’s Proposal and The Edge of Horizon. Regarding Don’t Be Too Emotional, I am waiting to see what direction it goes in. Same with Winter Sun, which is still worth watching just because the visuals and music are so beautiful, and the couples have great chemistry.

FYI, I’ve been checking this feed everyday, I just haven’t had much time or energy to participate. But I’m still here.

For cute pics of the leads from Payback, check out our photo of the day feed:

They are very cute indeed. I haven't yet started "Payback", but Minlee is already enough to motivate me.

(re "Deep In") Yes, it's a really interesting and well-done application of the drama-within-a-drama (metadrama) device. I'm also impressed by the performances of the novice actors.

So true. And the upcoming release calendar continues to be insanely full.

I started Love Destiny that aired today, cause I thought I had no airing series on that day, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea. So far ok, transmigration is not my fav but it doesn't look cheap like in some other shows and the hate / love relationship between the 2 main characters sounds interesting.

Let's see next week how ep2 goes.
