I am, thank you! Boiling water is bad! I happened to pick up a cast iron pot without a mitt that had just reached the oven temperature of 450 degrees.

I'm home and ready to watch a BL tonight. I have to start a new one though and I have no idea what title pick!

Whoa, hope you iced it and put a burns ointment on it!

Can I suggest Deep In if you're not already watching it?

ER said not to put ice directly on the burn area, which I didn't know....but now I do!

I didn't plan on watching Deep In cuz I'm not good with intense dramas, which I have the impression it is. idk for sure but maybe there are red and black flag type characters?

Umm, the actors are starring in a drama that has red flag characters but they are treated as such. Trigger warning - they have to enact rape scenes. The drama is about a toxic relationship. The actors themselves are not as bad.

The series is intense but also amazing. I don't want to give too much away by trying to describe it. It also deals with homophobia.

Meanwhile I am DEEPly INvested in 'Deep In'. I am a bit sad that the show doesn't have more hype. It's literally 2 dramas rolled into one! Plus I always wondered if BL actors ever ended up catching feelings, ever got turned on by each other during intimacy. Okay so maybe it's not proper in that aspect but it's a trope I am glad we got!

It will conclude next Friday and I'm not ready to part ways and I might binge watch it all immediately which is rare thing for me to want to do.

I'm sure it happens, even if the actor is not attacted to their co-star, friction is still friction, even with the padding they use, and some of these actors are still really young so I imagine acting out sex scenes itself with cause a reaction with some of them. 😅

There was an interview with an American actor that was talking about intimacy scenes and how its full of apologies. 'Sorry if I get hard, sorry if I don't get hard, can I touch you here? Sorry my hand slipped', and so on and so on.

"Friction is still friction" 😂 True true. I had read that intimacy coordinators make actors stop in those situations and take a break.

Recently I watched The Prosecutor's Proposal actors reacting to an episode. One actor asked the other why he touched his thigh in an intimate scene and he gets embarrassed and says he doesn't know.

Similarly when the Deep In actors were reacting to an episode. One asked the other why he touched his butt during a kiss scene and he also gets embarrassed and says I don't know. 😆

They're doing things in the moment that they're not aware of and it makes it in the final cut.

I'm still waiting for this one to finish airing I think I will LOVE it !

Re: Deep In, I watched ep2 to 10 back to back and I was fully immersed in the story, it's a good think you waiting for all the episodes to be out. Ep11 cliffhanger was top tier, now I'm just endlessly waiting for next Friday to be there.

Yes can't wait till Friday then I'll binge again! Tiffany, I hope you like it! 😄

I also happened to watch Cherry Magic anime this week. It was cute. First time there were 2 green flags as leads. Rare thing in the BL world. I was wondering if I should watch the drama too. Read a comment that the Japanese actors never kiss in the whole drama. So strange.

both the thai and japanese version of the anime are good about the content, but yeah in the japanese one there is no kiss btw the first couple, and in one scene if i remember correctly there is a fake kiss. the second couple have a kiss tho

Yes, that's what I read too.

@jazme thanks! Maybe I'll consider the Thai version.

Did you guys know the actor in the Japanese version the same actor from 10Dance? He looks so different!

Tina:

@jazme

Say JP or Japanese instead of the slur shortcut pls

apologies, but i didnt even know that jp is shortcut for japanese. jap here is known to be shortcut for japanese. and we dont mean that as an insult either (i'm in asia and not from the western world). but thank you for enlightening me. and also, as per this search, it's jpn and not jp

You've just described the type of series I prefer to avoid, haha. Often times I get FOMO when most everyone here goes wild for a toxic or dark drama and I can't join in. 😭

That happened the other day when the thread was full of posts about the current toxic watches. I didn't look at the thread for an entire day. 😂🙃🤣😆 I'm laughing about it now.

Indie Art Girl:
I'd like a finished one and country doesn't matter. It's about the story for me before all else

I will recommend the ones that I rated 8.5 or higher that aren't too toxic from 2026 :

  • The Lie We Lived In

  • The Prosecutor's Proposal

I thought it would be a list of at least seven or eight titles. 😆 But some are too toxic, some aren't your style, and you've already dropped some of the others.

The OST is indeed wonderful! Currently love Back To You and Tiger In My Love. 💜

Don't leave me to My Nightmares on repeat here!

I am also trying to watch a het romance drama.

In Your Radiant Season (Korean) and Love between Lines (Chinese) were my fav so far in 2026.

ColourMePurple:
If it follows the anime plot, I'm sure I'll like it. The trailer for bother versions look good. Maybe I'll watch it when I'm not trying to catch up on so many recent dramas. 😄

That's the reason I started with the Japanese version, the episodes are 25 minutes long while the Thai episodes are 50 for the same amount of episodes. Better than a promotion at the supermarket: watch 12, save up to 50% of your time! 😅

Oh I absolutely didn't recognize him.
