Oh I absolutely didn't recognize him.

I just read an interesting post about the episode titles of Winter Sun, so I wanted to share it.

ETA : I'm so confused. I didn't realize episode 11 was already out. I thought they were going to keep releasing one episode a week until the end.

I want to comment on everything but just haven’t had time or energy. I would recommend searching Reddit for info about Winter Sun. There are so many interesting meanings to things we simply can’t understand without knowing Chinese culture. If I have time later I will see if I can find the ones I read.

I have also been reading about the history behind The Edge of Horizon. It is based on real events. So far I just read about the Siamese Revolution of 1932 on Wikipedia. In any case, this is what to look up if you’re interested.

As far as shows go, there are so many good ones right now, I’m overwhelmed. But I love intense dramas and toxic characters. I like fluff too, but right now the intense ones are pulling me in the most.

I’m obsessed with Payback and Deep In. I think Payback is my favorite show so far this year. The Edge of Horizon is also great, as was The Prosecutor’s Proposal. Don’t Be Too Emotional is good but is frustrating me with all the unknowns. I think Bittersweet Love would get more attention if it wasn’t being overshadowed by so many other shows. I love the premise of the live-in husband marrying for status.

After watching Pursuit of Jade, I read a lot about live-in husbands in China. It’s very interesting. Well, I clearly love learning about the history, culture, or background in any of the shows I watch. I spend hours a day lost in Google searches. (I studied history in college so I’ve always been interested in this stuff. I focused on social history, which is how people’s everyday lives are affected by historical events.)

Winter Sun is still so beautiful to watch, no matter what is happening. The locations and camera work are amazing. The OST totally adds to this beauty, as do the literary references and cultural elements. The acting is great. The story is a little slow-moving, but everything else is so impressive, I don’t care.

The OST for Deep In is amazing, I have been listening to it on repeat. There is an MDL feed about it, but I don’t have time to find it right now.

I got carried away writing and now I have to go. I am leaving the house for the first time since Tuesday, when I had a tooth pulled. I am not in much pain anymore but I am getting really sick of eating only soft food.

An episode and half in there is still no plot whatsoever, just NC scenes. Do whatever you want in your personal time but making out with your ex when you are supposed to be working is not okay and when your colleague walks in you say get out.

The detail of the police having guns is just so off putting as in SK police don'thave firearms only specialised units like SWAT or high risk protection details like for the Prime minister and of course military.

You can tell it is low budget because the security tag on the police uniform is half hanging off even though I'm confused why it is even on their uniform if they're police.

Sometimes a random choice makes you realize what you actually wanted all along like when you flip a coin and end up hoping for one side before it lands !

When I pick something random, 99% of the time I regret it not because it's bad or unenjoyable for me but because it shows I'm not in the mood to be doing that particular activity. I try to be as organised as possible.

I will recommend the ones that I rated 8.5 or higher that aren't too toxic from 2026 :

• The Lie We Lived In

• The Prosecutor's Proposal

I thought it would be a list of at least seven or eight titles. 😆 But some are too toxic, some aren't your style, and you've already dropped some of the others.

Yeah there's quite a few toxic dramas out rn. Since u rec The Prosecutor's Proposal I started it today in between cleaning and laundry. Daytime is best.

I watched the first two eps. I closed my eyes at the crime scenes and another scene, ugh. But otherwise I was going with it until the forced kiss, not once but twice. Will there be a good reason or explanation for this later?

The drama character written for the role of Chae Ha hardly seems the type to be a cop or a prosecutor. He seems so out of place.

I was about to go noooooo not The Prosecutor's Proposal for you. 😅 He does get better, but he is a bit unstable emotionally and more so around Chaeha to the point he has some very questionable actions and dialog with Chaeha. You just have to keep in mind that Chaeha does like him, I believe he has already stated at this point that he admires Tae Seon.

oohhh thanks, then i can go back to watching this again =D still need tow watch edge of horizon latest ep and catchup with when oranges fall before it's finale

Umm, the actors are starring in a drama that has red flag characters but they are treated as such. Trigger warning - they have to enact rape scenes. The drama is about a toxic relationship. The actors themselves are not as bad.

You've just described the type of series I prefer to avoid, haha. Often times I get FOMO when most everyone here goes wild for a toxic or dark drama and I can't join in. 😭

That happened the other day when the thread was full of posts about the current toxic watches. I didn't look at the thread for an entire day. 😂🙃🤣😆 I'm laughing about it now.

Aww nooo. If you watch it, you'd definitely enjoy it but no pressure. It's just me wanting everyone to watch Deep In. 😄
