I'm really looking forward to this series ever since it was announced, but I'm not sure if I want to watch it while airing or wait til after. I'm keeping my weekly watching shows to a minimum for now.

I almost had this title on my list but then I remembered its a 2025 production with only the last few eps airing in Jan. so I decided not to add it. 😆

I likewise gave "BNW: My Destiny" a rating bonus for fixing the story, especially at the end.
Honourable mention: Screen Together (It's a very short, vertical drama, available on Dee Hup House YT channel.
Thanks for the nudge. I'd been meaning to watch the three Dee Hup verticals from the start of the year (this, "Love Truck" and "InfluLover"), as Dee Hup sometimes produces good stuff - but of course, they're long buried in my hopeless PTW list.

Yeah I agree that this year has really been toxic BL year, and while I can enjoy one here and now, I am wishing for the rest of the year we could get some BLs with some kind of other main plot point, that are still high quality in terms of acting and production. And like you said, not everyone is a fan of them and I think we might soon be reaching a saturation point, where generally fans will start wanting some diversity. There is only so many toxic plots you can do, bf the shows will start repeating one another.

Tutoring My Enemy eps 1-50
I don't usually watch vertical dramas, but this one was quite entertaining. I'm weak for enemies to lovers trope. I've also already loved the main couple since I saw them in The Boy Next World. Their chemistry is still there. The whole mafia main family - minor family thing reminded me of KinnPorsche. Yeah, it starts like an enemies-to-lovers university drama and changes into a B-film KinnPorsche for teenagers 😅 It's short, so even if you don't like it, you won't waste much time on this.
I watched this vertical for FourthDonut, and I liked it.
Reset was also my favorite show of last year but I haven’t rewatched it because it’s intense. It took me awhile before I rewatched My Stand-in, even though it’s an all-time favorite, for the same reason. And I haven’t rewatched To My Shore either.
Shine stands in a class by itself, but I couldn’t make it a favorite because of upsetting aspects of the story. But it is basically perfect.
Whereas some shows that I haven’t rated as high I end up watching many times over. Some of those I end up increasing the ratings because of that. I’ve already rewatched Duang With You and Me and Thee, and shows like Perfect10Liners and Forever You and We Are I could just keep watching over and over.
I’ve decided that’s it’s ok to feel split this way and have the intense shows be my favorites but still rewatch the comfort shows more.
I have actually wanted to rewatch Reset for awhile now but there isn’t enough time to even watch all the new shows. And there are some less hyped but really good shows from this year that I definitely plan to get to, I just haven’t yet. Especially a bunch on Gaga.
Since I am doing 5 challenges I am trying to prioritize shows for the challenges, but I end up feeling torn and watching other stuff I missed as well.
I love seeing everyone’s lists! It has been a great year for BLs!

Finally, my biggest disappointment so far this year is Knot. The story is not well-written or cohesive and it has failed to deliver on BoatOat’s amazing chemistry for the NC scenes. We did get an excellent NC scene from the second couple this week, but it just reminds me how great BoatOat are together, yet we haven’t seen it. Overall, I just think the story could be so much better
I totally agree. I'm pushing through but honestly it is a mess. The story is not delivered well and some scenes are so cringe its hard to watch. It is edited badly and the pacing is so slow

I noticed that Shine has now been released on Netflix which is making me more inclined to watch but every time I watch a trailer, I think it is going to be too intense for me. I usually watch BL series for lighthearted romance, not emotional damage.
I am still affected by Love in the Big City and I can't rewatch even though it was amazing
