K-Drama Fool in love episodes 5 and 6
May contain spoilers!
Well Ing certainly has three different personalities; sulking from jealousy over minor things, being a complete princess and absolute savage violence. Considering the previous two episodes the events were not as shocking with these two, but I have to say my concern about the large episode count is starting to raise it's head again. We basically got trough the honeymoon part and based on teaser ep 7 will be the break up part. Now if this would be your normal 10 episode and done i'd say we are on the normal trajectory of Thai BL plots. However we are not anywhere near done, so what are the last 10+ episodes going to cover? o_O Honest question guys.
One notable thing aside from Ing's triple personalities is that I don't think Yok has a clear picture of what he wants out of the relationship. Sure Ing isn't exactly giving off the "I want a monogamous relationship ending in marriage" vibe either, but I am estimating that the fact that both of them are not just willing to have the talk about where their relationship is heading will be causing a lot more conflicts in the future.
Yok while appearing calm, does seem to have quite a bit of fire in him, so I am expecting some more steamy but also violent scenes in the future. If I was a betting person, I'd say Ing will at some point purposefully try to make Yok jelous in a very public manner and provoke a reaction out of him. The end result will probably be more of Ing limping. 😅

Anyone planning to watch The Sound of Sugar Cubes as it airs? Or binge watch it later, when it's completed?
i usually binge-watch jbls and kbls as they're short =D

I'm not sure what to make of it, so I'll probably wait for the feedback from others (i.e. let others be the lab rats!).
Tiffany:
I will probably do the same
The AI disclaimer in the first minutes of ep1 made me drop immediately, I may pick it up later. At least they were honest and mentioned it straight from the start...

Weirdo-101 Final
Hmmm, I finished it cuz it's Sea & Keen, against my own drop rule that it doesn't matter who the main couple is. There were a few cute and heartwarming (but many cringe) parts, but otherwise I found it underwhelming and bland. This series is not one I will rec to anyone and isn't on the same level as their previous series. Maybe that makes it more disappointing as well. The MDL score is overrated imo, but I'm sure its cuz of the cast. I could say more but I'll leave it at that and hope their next drama is better!
So it's a "meh" and a 7/10 for me.
Ok, I'm happy it's not just me. I initially thought it was the beginning that was not my cup of tea so I dropped after 2 episodes. I wanted to watch it again after my exams are over but with the amount of good BL from the previous years (decade) I still have in my PTW list, I may leave it on Dropped forever.
Indie Art Girl:
En of Love: This is Love Story - 4/10 (Worse than bad. Only one of three dramas with a 4 rating out of my 904 titles!)
En of Love: TOSSARA - 6/10 (Not very good)
I found This is Love Story as bad as Tossara actually 🙈but I'm not that severe with low ratings, a 6 is already really (really) bad for me, and I gave a 7.5 (could have decreased to 7 or even 6.5).
jazme:
more of zombies and life after the apocalypse, though the romance isn't missing
Thanks ! I can't wait to watch it !
ElementalStar:
I have been so busy I had to turn off notifications for a lot of stuff including here. Right now I'm building a storage shed in the back yard so barely keeping up with all the dramas.
Seems like a lot of work !
As always, your reviews are really helpful. Thank you !
ElementalStar:
Echo of a Letter: AI overload, but I still kind of enjoy it even though it's also a bit trash. 😅
Glad I'm not the only one 😂
ElementalStar:
Lovex3: Out of the three main couples, one has me sucked in, one is surprisingly adorable, and one has me rolling my eyes.
That seems interesting ! I'm curious.
ElementalStar:
School Trip Season 2: So far just as good as season 1. This is, to this day, one of the best school dramas I've ever watched. Hope this continues to live up to that.
Same
You Maniac ep 9 : It feels weird to say this about this episode, but I really enjoyed it ! My interest had been dropping over the past few weeks, but now it's high again, so I'm glad. I felt all kinds of emotions while watching this episode ! 😭
Police in Love ep 7 : More communication from Thear would have been good, but since it's a 12-episode BL, that makes sense. I laughed way too much at the PPL for face masks 😂
Mr. Fanboy ep 9 : That episode was hard ! It was sad and infuriating. So many things happened ! That's the kind of explosive episode I thought we were going to get last week, but I'm glad they showed us everything in this order instead.
I'm really impressed by everyone's acting. Wan really broke my heart when he started crying like that. 😭 I think Renji must be my favourite character.
I'm glad Nine has a stalker. I don't think I can feel bad for him anymore, but we'll see. I often end up feeling bad for villains, after all. 😅
I'm a bit confused about how surprised Third seemed when Wan asked to break up at the end. When Wan asked to spend one night together as a normal couple, I thought it was pretty obvious that he would ask to break up afterwards. From Third's facial expressions, I thought he had guessed it too !
School Trip S2 ep 2 : It's interesting ! I feel like since it's the second season, they're going a bit deeper into the relationships and each character.
Gelboys : I liked how different the atmosphere was from most of the BLs I've watched, and I really liked the use of SNS. It was also interesting to see things from different characters' points of view. This was fun, cute, messy, frustrating and sad, but I felt invested in the individual characters rather than the couples. And now I kind of want to do my nails ! 💅 8/10
Even Gelboys is telling me to watch Love Between Fairy and Devil ! 😂

p43425:
@Art Girl, here's another new start not on either of our lists:
Oct 25 "Tamed" (Gaga, 12 eps., CBL via Singapore)
I watched the first two episodes, it's ok. Again a traumatized ML who concludes a contract with a weaker, poorer, younger artist. In the meantime the ML younger brother is having a relationship with his older brother's therapist. The father sounds like a toxic narcissist. A really healthy (and wealthy) family indeed. Not sure if I will not be dropping half way as it seems pretty close to all the previous Black Flag / toxic CBL that aired this year. Let's see next week.

the missing piece
I think I was mostly too tired to be fully invested, but I still enjoyed it ! 😊
Last night, I came across a TikTok of Bank Artit talking about playing Ing in Fool in Love (that I will binge watch later).
He said that before accepting the role, he was thinking that he was probably nearing the end of his acting career and that his next role would probably be playing someone's dad. He thought he was probably too old to do BL at 36. But he went to the audition and really liked the role.
I wish him lots of success ! 💜
He's so so so so good in it, you really can't see it's his first BL. When I saw the poster I wasn't initially enthusiastic about the series and I started ep1 with the idea of dropping immediately after a couple of minutes. This never happened, thanks to Bank: he's funny, sexy (hot as hell) and he plays this somehow more mature but crazy princess-like macho so well, I couldn't stop laughing. It would have been such a pity if he didn't get the role.
And let's be honest, he's still too young (and handsome) to be stuck in father roles.
LueurArcane:
Great he is the one acting as Ing, cant think of his role given to anyone else. The role feels like its made for him also he looks like in his 20s , and he is a great actor 🥰❤️🔥❤️🔥 hope to see him in more main roles 🫰🏻
+1
And if he can stay in BL even better. I watched The Twin Gambit, a 2025 Lakorn were he's the ML (second couple), and while he was pretty good in it (with a character pretty similar to the one he plays in Fool in Love), he couldn't save the really basic scenario of the series.
dora:
I also think he is perfect for the part and looks so young. I’m so happy for him that his show is doing well. I think all his acting experience gives him an edge. He just embodies his part in every scene and photo shoot. Also he is absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥and my newest crush.
Newest crush - can I join the club? 🥰
Tiffany:
The Missing Piece : I finished binge-watching it, but I don't really know what to say. I think my expectations were too high since I'd been waiting for it since it first started airing.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it ! I liked the couple and the story, but I think the storytelling could have been better.
I'm also glad I got attached to the female lead and that she didn't get on my nerves. I feel like we're seeing fewer and fewer annoying female characters in BLs just for the sake of it, and I'm happy about that !
Towards the end, I also really loved the child. I was invested in the story, but not as much as I expected to be.
8/10
I'm in need of something even more toxic ! 💀
same here. I found the ending a bit "easy", it could have been a bit more elaborated. Rated it a 8/10 too.
Indie Art Girl:
I might be the pickiest and most sensitive member here when it comes to dramas. I may also be the member quickest to drop a drama, the least interested in NC scenes and def not into horror, psycho, dark & toxic, crime and most thriller themes. Ditto for slapstick and melodrama OTT acting.
You're my "Let's drop this drama" queen! If I could drop the boring dramas as simply and quickly as you do, it'd be a dream 😁

I am actually pretty happy with the amount of episodes, I couldn't imagine this series to be finished in 4-6 episodes.
I think there is still more to come with Ing and Yok story, as well as Itt's confrontation. I already expected more to be revealed about how Itt feels toward his brother and what he's planning to avenge himself, but ep6 didn't give us many clues.
I like the different facets of Ing: under his macho and cool appearance, you can feel a bit of insecurities toward his young lover. Yok is a bit more of a mystery for me: while he was totally against any relationship with Ing until ep4, he kind of fell for Ing in ep5 to back up immediately in ep6. I think he'll initiate the breakup in ep7 or 8 but may regret it afterwards.
I’m so looking forward to next Thursday, the wait is killing me!

TYSM!
Mr. Fanboy EP 9
Not once did Nine fool me. What a psycho. Do not trust this guy!!
This would have been a different ep if Third stepped up for Wan and shared the video instead of deleting it for Nine's benefit. If I was Wan and found out my boyfriend had the chance but didn't choose to protect me and even gave another break to the one bullying me...I'd flatten him like a pancake with my big girl boots and leave him out for the birds to tear him apart. 🐦⬛ 👿

I keep my lowest rating to a 5 almost always, but there's exceptions, lol. So a 5 or 6 is a bad drama for me.
