I am actually pretty happy with the amount of episodes, I couldn't imagine this series to be finished in 4-6 episodes.

Yeah I think like maybe 12 would be something that I would say is more realistic than 10, but all together 20 episodes just feels like a lot. Ing is pretty unpredictable and volatile with his reactions which does keep the show interesting, but I am still 50/60 will it keep 20 episode interesting.

I think if the drama remains only focused on Ing/Yok's story, 20 eps is much too much, that's for sure. But from what I understood from the novel (123 chapters) a good amount of chapters is about the brothers' (Ing/Itt) relationship. And this hasn't been much developed yet. So I assume the 20 eps will be centered about this story too.

I am leaving in 45 minutes with my mom for our 3-day trip. I still haven’t decided what to watch with her, but I have the list of recommendations you guys gave me. I’m so nervous. I don’t want her to know how much time I spend everyday just watching shows or fooling around on the internet. I like to read too, so I bought a separate kindle device so she can see I’m reading. It’s amazing to me that in middle age my mom can still make me nervous. But I guess some things don’t change with age. 🥴

BTW, I usually get along great with my mom, but that’s 1-2 hours at a time, and we try to just talk kdramas, books, or family gossip. I haven’t spent this much time with her in about 20 years! Also, she’s really energetic, even at 80, and I am not. I don’t even want to think about my back issues. I often feel sick too, especially when traveling, and I won’t have my spouse there to comfort me. Or my dogs. 😟 Let’s just pray I get some energy for at least part of the trip. I’m supposed to be going to help her pack up her vacation home, which my parents just sold. At least I’m packed and ready to go.

@KDramafan21
