Ah yeah it is the lineup on November 3rd
Oh, I wasn't expecting the GMMTV 2027 lineup event to be so early ! It's happening three weeks earlier than last year's GMMTV 2026 event, which was at the end of November. I hope I'll be able to watch it live like I did last year. That was fun 😁
Indie Art Girl:
cuz it's a bit boring. (Not as boring as Weirdo.) Smth is missing. I don't know if it's the story (or lack of), the chemistry or what. 🤔 Maybe it's me, lol.
i dropped it halfway thro
Indie Art Girl:
What isn't missing is product placements. If there was an award for the most ads in one series You Maniac might win, although I heard Police in Love has a crazy amount too.
😂😂
Tiffany:
but Paradise of Thorns was so good
i fully agree ✅💯

What is you guys' favorite BL movie? I think mine is The Blue Hour with Gun Atthaphan.
Thanks for the list. I've not yet seen "Blue Hour", despite my enthusiasm for Gun Attaphan, because it sounds so disturbing, but maybe I'll give it a try. (In addition to you, I had made a note for myself that Ju Moon was enthusiastic about it.)
I absolutely adore all three parts of the "Utsukarii Kare" / "My Beautiful Man" trilogy!
As to the other BL/LGBT titles on your list (have I missed any?):
I've not watched "Egoist", and I'd never heard of "Happy Together" before seeing it on your list, but both sound like real-life LGBT with some heavy themes rather than the escapist feel-good BL stuff that I like. (I'm an older gay guy who's had a lifetime of heavy real-life LGBT themes, including but not limited to growing up in a socially very conservative environment and various friends dying of AIDS back in that era, so that's my excuse!)
I've also not yet watched "Your Name Engraved Herein", likewise because the themes sound too familiarly unhappy, but I know it gets really good reviews, so it's theoretically on my PTW list.
In terms of proper feature-length movies (i.e. excluding movie versions of KBLs), here are a few other winners that I don't see on your list (sorry, I'm too lazy to check your complete watchlist to see if you've watched them):
"10Dance" (Netflix): Didn't do much for me personally as a BL love story, but it was an amazing watch, most of all for the competition ballroom dancing.
"My Bromance" (the 2014 movie with a very young Fluke Natouch): Really good, especially Fluke, but be warned that after the sweet first half, the second half gets very heavy. (Also be warned that the sequel is lousy.)
"Marry My Dead Body" (Taiwan original movie) and "The Red Envelope" (Thai remake starring Billkin and PP Krit). The original is more of a gay-themed police action-comedy than a proper BL, but it's really good. The Thai remake has a different vibe, mainly because of PP Krit, but is also really good in its own way. Note: If I remember right, I watched "Red Envelope" via VPN to Netflix Bangkok.
"Balloon's Landing" (Netflix): I wasn't really expecting much, but gosh, it was really really good - beautiful cinematography, beautiful music, good acting, engaging (albeit very confusing) story about the complex relationship (love story) between the protagonists. There seems to be some debate about whether it's bromance or BL, particularly as there are no NC scenes (other than shirtless) and not even a consummated kiss - but to me, it's definitely BL with powerful feelings.
"Silhouette of Your Voice": Original 2017 deafness-themed movie which was recently remade into the excellent series "I Hear The Sunspot". The original movie is also surprisingly good.
"Formula 17" (90-minute JBL on Youtube but in high-quality UHD): Gay comedy rather than BL in usual sense. Quite entertaining and sweet, much better than expected.
"Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard: The Movie": Movie sequel to the iconic series.
Hello Mr. P! I can't quote a long post but I can say I haven't yet watched My Bromance,, Balloon's Landing and Formula 17. I might watch the second one... But I'm in a drama slump right now so even watching one episode is too much for me.
I'm currently watching Grey's Anatomy from Western series and One Piece for anime. But maybe one day I'll get back to dramas and specifically BL. One day for sure!
Grey:
I'm not enjoying cute, bubbly unrealistic BLs as much as you guys.
There are some factions within our group: those who prefer fluffy feel-good comfort with cutie-patooties (me, me, me!), those who prefer dark and toxic (lots of those these days, especially from China), those who prefer realistic stories (real life is so overrated), etc. etc.
Actually, I'm open to almost anything that's extraordinarily good.

BTW, I usually get along great with my mom, but that’s 1-2 hours at a time, and we try to just talk kdramas, books, or family gossip. I haven’t spent this much time with her in about 20 years! Also, she’s really energetic, even at 80,
Wow u have an 80 yo mom! That's so nice that u can watch dramas together though! Later you'll be glad u got to spend some alone time just the two of you. I hope you both can make the most of it and enjoy the time u have! ❤️
One more comment about You Maniac
A side note about Dr. Pun, the actor Kin, who plays him: He is very accomplished at 22! He seems smart too. I think he deserves some flowers, lol. I'm looking forward to seeing him in Kiss Me, Remember? AND Barcode is paired with him again, plus cute Ken is part of the cast. Seems promising!
I looked up Kin. He really is impressive. Multiple instruments, multiple languages, a masters in economics and an ice hockey champion?! Wow. I like Dr. Pun too. And Barcode and Kin seem good together. I am definitely looking forward to Kiss Me, Remember? (I hate third act amnesia that breaks up the happy couple but I don’t mind amnesia that starts at the beginning.)
Things are going fine with my mom, although I slept like a rock I was so tired after yesterday. She barely slept at all and just keeps going nonstop. She is doing most of the work. We’re packing up her vacation home, but a lot of family stuff was stored here, so there are so many old photos and letters and pieces of artwork of mine. Now I have to find somewhere to put them at my house!
I did get a burst of energy yesterday and got a lot done. I only spent about 15 minutes before bed watching BLs! That’s nothing for me. But I was on the phone a lot because my spouse is home with the dogs.
Based on everyone’s recommendations, My mom and I started The King 2 Hearts (2012). She’s funny because she asks questions about what’s going on nonstop, but then if I tell her info from the synopsis, she says I’m spoiling it! Anyway, she seemed to like it so far. We’ll watch more tonight. I thought if we watched a Korean instead of Chinese show it wouldn’t be as long, but this is 20 episodes! And I just started Love between Fairy and Devil (2022). How will I find time to watch these plus all the BLs?! November was supposed to be catch up month! Plus I am trying to finish the BL and GL Challenges. Well, after I get home tomorrow I plan to rest and just watch shows for several days. Or the next few months. Lol.
Thanks for all the encouragement for my trip. One more day of sorting stuff and packing boxes. Ugh. I’d rather be watching BLs. But I’d rather watch BLs than doing almost anything I have to do. 🥴😂❤️
Oh, and my energetic mom is 80 because I’m middle-aged. I hate to admit it, but I’m probably old enough to be most of your moms. Ju Moon is around my age, and Italophilia is slightly older than me, and Mr. P is definitely older. But otherwise, you can all just call me “auntie.” Thanks for keeping me feeling young, though. 😉
