from korea you make me dance, it's such a cute little watch
from japan i've watched a fair amount of niche bls but the most i think deserve a lot more attention are
- sing in love (it's dark but i loved it so much. the cinematography was so atmospheric and i was mesmerized whilst watching)
- double mints (again dark but soo good and interesting imo)
- ai no kotodama (it was made in 2007 which is probably why it isn't talked about often but it's one of my comfort movies i think its so cute.)
- takumi-kun no 4 specifically (the movie series as a whole i wouldn't say is underrated especially for something made from 2007-2011 but the fourth one is just So good and it isn't even about the main couple)

ofc it's not perfect, it has it's flaws but knowing how it was never meant to be a high quality series but just a popularity boost for net and james, i can say it's doing a pretty good job in that

I think it is worth a watch. There is something about it that keeps your interest but i do feel like it tackles a few sensitive topics that feel beyond the show's depth to handle. One of the leads is like a trauma black hole to point where I question if the romance should take a back seat so that he can deal with those issues in therapy and involve the authorities. I feel like you need to watch it for yourself. I'm waiting to see how it ends and ties everything together.
