What Did You Eat Yesterday?

Oh yes! I watched that recently, and they dealt with some common queer issues rather well, too. However, I found myself speeding past the cooking elements as I wasn't all that interested in the recipes.

What shows have you all been loving lately?

The Eighth Sense! I am completely obsessed. It has not even finished airing yet but I know it's going to be my favorite BL of all time.

 BbalanceD:

I found a hidden gem that is from Japan and depicts a mature couple in a stable relationship. Slice of life format, it shows their love through the meals they share. What Did You Eat Yesterday?

May I ask where you watched it and if you have a link?
I read the manga years ago and its one of my favorites. I haven't had the opportunity to watch it.

What do you think of Love Syndrome III? I'm debating whether I should start because the score is quite low considering the fact that the series hasn't even finished airing

I actually started the first episode today. I have been debating whether to watch it for a while too. The general consensus is that it is bad . I'm assuming that  it  is the kind of bad that's entertaining or a guilty pleasure type of watch lol. I'm not sure what to think about it as of yet.

The other show i have yet to start with negative reviews is Chains of heart.

I like it so far, but it's the sort of thing you either hate or love imo. People don't like the acting and say that it's bad (as in script), but I don't think it is, the actors act just like the characters do in the book.

I will be honest though, the first two episodes are a bit annoying (particularly Itt's whining), and the directors failed to explain critical parts of the show. For example, Itt's obsession with cake will seem like he's just being an annoying brat and will only make sense if you've read the novel. Because the show is adapted from the third book in the series, they have to explain a lot of things through flashbacks and there just isn't enough air time for everything to be explained properly.

I actually started watching the show because everyone else hated it (as many shows I like have lower MDL ratings), and I actually love it. I say watch a few eps and decide for yourself.

I posted my thoughts on Love Syndrome above. If it wasn't for the humorous commentator on Discord, I wouldn't bother watching.

I binged chains of heart in 2 days and tbh it's really not as bad as people make it believe. Ofc at first it's a bit confusing but along the episodes it gets clearer. There is smth lacking imo but i can't pinpoint it exactly... like the actors are doing a good job, but there are some scenes which feel rushed/too slow/unnecessary... but i would still give it a chance!!

Again, I'm watching this for the commentary from a Discord user on the plot[?] and because it seems I am able to explain which character is which despite the translators never using the same name twice (except for Ken & Barbie).

It has been somewhat affectionately renamed "Men in Black".

I decided to try love syndrome. Thank you for your opinions, everyone.
You should try to start watching Chains of Heart. I think the reviews are bad because the plot is very complicated until near the end.

anyone watching Watashi to Otto to Otto no Kareshi (2023)

Yes. I completed it yesterday and, funnily enough, just posted on my feed about it.
