OK, I've decided to take a short break from BL, so I'm watching "Virgin Love", which came out today on Viki. But one of the stars is my beloved Sota Ryosuke, so for me, it's kind of BL, even though it's not BL.
Is it just the actor or does it have some of the feel of BL even if the romances aren't? This is part of broader questions I'm curious about regarding differences between BL and more mainstream series. BL-adjacent series are sometimes good for shedding a bit of light on this.
A separate question for any men here who have seen I Feel You Linger in the Air, or perhaps young women, many of the love confessions in the later episodes (I'm through ep 10) are far more emotionally verbose than I'm used to with men, or even with women. They feel like a woman's fantasy. I know that I live amongst people who aren't comfortable putting emotion into words so my experiences aren't representative. It might be different for younger people, I hope it is.
I'm curious how far these scenes are from others' experiences.
