I enjoyed Why R U? very much!

I am glad that you loved it. As for the remake I don't plan on watching because I would not be able to separate the two I would constantly be comparing instead of just enjoying watching it, yup that is how much I love the series.

 p43425:
I haven't yet started on "Twins" or "Gangster Oppa", but I hope they're not quite as heavy handed with the omegaverse clichés.

Huh? Neither "Twins" nor "My Dear Gangster Oppa" are set in the omegaverse. There are no alphas, betas or omegas in these shows. So, I'm not sure what you're saying here.

I get it! Oftentimes I can't watch a remake either, but in this case I'm not as attached to this drama as I am about others. :-)

Also, I just really enjoyed the warm moments. As a single person alone that won't be celebrating family holidays this week, I want to watch more heartwarming content.

Sending virtual hugs.

See if you have not watched any of these heartwarming recs:

Cherry blossoms After Winter

Oxygen the series

Blueming

Colour Rush

Kieta Hatsukoi

Oh, Mando!

Old Fashion Cupcake

Plus and Minus

Soulmate (Don't remember the plot but I gave it a ten for some reason)

The Eighth Sense

The Tuxedo

To My Star (season 1 & 2; you mostly likely watched these already though)

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN (Will break you down emotionally and build you back up, maybe my most coveted series)

Tonhon Chonlatee

Lakan (don't know about heartwarming but interesting watch)

I feel like you already watched most if not all of these since they are fairly recent or popular 🤔

Anyways this is all I can think of right now

Aw, thank you so much! You are right, I have seen many of these titles and are on my BL favorite list, but there are a few I've never heard of. I appreciate it!!

Then I misunderstood your earlier post. Sorry! (I've not yet seen either of these myself.)

Everything that occurs to me is already on your impressively vast "Completed" list. (Wow, you are amazing!)

Ha ha, I don't know about that. I'm a long time drama watcher and have more time than anything else.

istg it was so good , I am still not over it . almost makes me not want to watch s2 when it comes out ( i'm scared it'll be ruined TwT) lets wait.

I'm usually not super optimistic, but I really feel they could nail a s2 if they have the funds and put in the work (plus I really wanna see what they do with a setting that goes even further back in history).

 p43425:
The Korean version was reasonably good but very different - which is good because I'm a harsh critic of remakes. It was also much shorter - almost to the point of feeling a bit rushed.

I watched the Korean version of  Why R U? soon after the Thai  Why R U? and I have to say it was disappointing. I know it wasn't made to be a copy, but still, it lacked in a lot of areas.

I think RiqueXinw is making the right choice in NOT watching the Korean version. Don't do it!! :-)

A side note: I came across Peach of Time, a Korean production, and noticed the cast includes Tommy & Jimmy from the Thai "Why R U?"... something I'll have to follow up on.

Then I need to catch up on current shows. I'm getting behind.

ok , two days ago €i saw a reel abt playby the series in my insta . I was shocked to see that . who is watching it rigght now that seires??

Peach of time is a very interesting watch on paper however from what I remember their were some plot holes. The reviews are mixed some loved it while others found it disappointing because of the plot holes. Thanks for reminding me though because I saw your post and went to look how much I rated it and realised it was not on my list looks like I watched it before having an account on here. They need to add Vietnam series on here too because I am starting to forget what I have watched and I like re-watching scenes 😭

I am watching it don't ask me about plot because well 😏

More than likely me not being clear as I'm running on 2h sleep a day. I will apologise in advance for any misunderstandings my posts may cause or have already caused.

I've edited my original post. "Pit Babe" is the first live BL drama incorporating the Omegaverse, though the Chinese announced one first, nothing more has been heard.

I'm watching it. Like others, I've missed the plot points in the first episode, because there was a hint at the start, and a few minutes at the end of the episode the rest was just young men having at it punctuated by three minutes those same men talking about having at it.

Well, "7 Days Before Valentine" (Thailand, 2023) certainly got off to a good start with the first episode. Rather intriguing. The commentator, JollyGolly in the comments section of the drama's page made the observation this felt like a theatre piece and I agree. That said, it still captured the imagination of this viewer who recognised some of the elements used in this piece. I'm keen to see how it all plays out: tragic love story or ???
