It's an exagerrated sexual hierarchy of alphas, betas and omegas, even extending to things like how people smell (pheromones). Thus the references in the first episode as to whether Charlie is an "alpha". To me, it's really stupid: humans (and human emotions and even raw human sexuality) are so much more complicated than some stereotype of a wolf pack.

Yeah. I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment, so I tend to read the webtoon (manhua, manhwa, and mang) before a live drama is released. There is an MDL member who posts lots of pre-release information about BL and GL Dramas, too, which I find useful as my preference is to know what writers and directors intend for their characters and stories. I like to watch BTS and interviews about films and dramas to better understand the vision.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the explanation. When it comes to sex stuff a lot is over my head. Yeah, stereotypes aren't worth much.
After the first episode of Pit Babe, I decided not to continue the rest of the series. It might be a quick judgement on my part, but oftentimes undertones of darkness combined with sexual content get me very anxious. Kind of contradictory since I've seen KinnPorsche . I did skip over some of the most toxic scenes in that series and it was over a year ago.
I do love the car racing theme in Pit Babe!! I always thought it would be so cool to be a race car driver. And if I could have a pit crew like the guys in Pit Babe, I'd be in heaven!

Sure, it makes sense that a new favorite drama becomes a measuring stick to other dramas following. I gave Plus & Minus a 10, but it's been awhile since I've seen it. I looked at the trailer to refresh my memory. As soon as I saw the bartender I remembered how much I loved him! I'm a sucker for men with long hair. I don't know why but he reminds me of Anson Chen in his role in HIStory4: Close To You. Another series I rated at a 10, but has a lowish MDL rating, like Plus & Minus.
I'm not a technical rater. I have no background in film or any related fields. I pretty much rate based on the emotions and feelings I get from a series along with the storyline/message and how the overall quality comes across.

I agree with this type of rating. I think when we start to analyse series in such a technically and criticizing way we lose touch of the "magic" and feelings we had watching our first series and what made us become in love with the genre. It is no longer watching it for pleasure but instead it is a judgement to determine what is best instead of appreciating a story for what it is. I am not say that production and writing quality is not important but for me it should not manifest into such staunch criticism that we forget to just enjoy the series.
I'm pleased to say that "My Only 12%" has totally exceeded my expectations. Ten stars plus! And it has redeemed my opinion of Earth Katsamonnat, who I've not really liked - until now. Santa and Earth are so good together.

For me I loved and appreciated the messages and the story-line of it but the romance part just never hooked me. I did not feel the chemistry on a romantic level. I felt that their friendship was established in a way that I could not look past it and that made their couple scenes cringey for me. Another thing is that the amount of times Seewi said "Cake" annoyed the hell out of me.

I actually agree with you. I still think it was a good drama overall despite how I felt about the romance at times.

I honestly rate exclusively based on if I enjoy it and that usually does entail me liking the overall story and or visuals, but that's more in a way of it being the right fit for me rather than any tech stuff.
