Elisheva:
So screw abused women and everyone who will find themselves in an abusive relationship then. Cute boys kissed and that makes it all better.
Well that is a cynical way to look at it, however that is not view I intended to bring forth. What I was really getting at was that depending on the person and their triggers one will view a piece of content and find interpretations that someone who does not have the same triggers won't find. Not that said interpretations are not present but the meaning and depth one places on them will differ; for example lets say there is a character who is a rape victim, an ordinary viewer will understand the context of that and rightfully condemn it and sympathise with that character, however if the viewer is a rape victim or has a family member or friend who has been raped they will not just understand they will know the context and the feelings; so they will empathise with the character. Therefore different actions on screen that the ordinary viewer will not place as much meaning on the viewer with a deeper experience of the issues on screen will interpret the same actions on screen on a deeper level because they know the situation personally. It is not a matter of "Cute boys kissed and that makes it all better", no it is the fact that in agreement with you the situation was abusive and wrong and yes Khai was terrible towards women, was there time to properly explore these themes and issues while sticking to the intention of a BL and its elements, no. The direction you are positing would go beyond the ordinary BL themes that are confined in the customary 12 episode time frame. Now could writing have been altered to diminish these issues perhaps. We also cannot look at Third as fragile in the end because his character was allowed to release the pent up emotions and find strength and growth in his own individuality away from Khai which triggered Khai's own growth.
All in all to say I don't think the series glossed over the issues I believe given the time and resources they had the presented a satisfactory resolution while still keeping the "Sacred rules of BL", but you are entitled to your view and I respect it as I am the one who asked for it, still glad I did because the issues you brought weren't caught by me then but I definitely see them now however we will agree to disagree on the resolution of the series.
