@RixqueXin Deep Night is my watch list and I've just seen episode 1 of A Secretly Love today. To be honest, it was a bit dull but I'll continue watching cos of Kimmon. Depending how you look at it, the subs can either be hilarious or horrendous. It's a good thing I've enough of my fair share of Thai dramas to be able to follow it.Jojo:
Uhmmm well, how do I say this nicely....wtf was that first episode of A Secretly Love (I feel like I should have known what to expect from the name alone). Now I went in knowing it was going to be unoriginal with the whole engineering faculty theme but this was damn near lacklustre to say the least. Now the subtitles that beg for a professional translator's intervention although frustrating can be tolerated as we are bl fans and have suffered through worse (Together With Me: The Next Chapter). Another thing that irked me was the flashback to the high school days; the actors look so mature that seeing them in the uniform made the scenes unrealistic and awkward. I would have preferred if they went back in time a little further back so they would have no choice but to use younger actors for the portrayal and that would even add more depth to the unrequited love as the time-frame would expand. All in all to say I was not hooked by this first episode but I am not one to drop a series easily or even at all so I hope it gets better in future episodes.

I can't do it. I now see that it's a very emotional movie based on a true story, but with a sad ending. I like true stories, but not with sad endings. Sad movies wouldn't be quite so hard if I wasn't watching it alone. I guess I'm a wimp. :-(

I stopped exactly half way through. Lackluster is a fair description. I'm gonna wait to see what happens with it before continuing. Maybe it gets better. I need to catch up on a few other BLs I've already started.

If it makes you feel any better when I watch Your Name Engraved Herein I held out until the very ending because I am not fond of emotions personally I prefer to watch others experience them but at the very end of the movie a tear slipped through making it one of only 5 pieces of content to ever make me cry.
Maybe it gets better. I need to catch up on a few other BLs I've already started.
I just hope it does; I may catch up on some other series currently airing as well and circle back to it at a later date.

Yeah, he seems to have back luck with bad scripts. I liked it when he was paired with Copter since 2 Moons but even then they didn’t have very good shows together which was a shame because I thought they were a good pair.

I never liked Copter that much, and their shows weren't good. It's a shame really. Hope he will be in some good BLs in the future.
