It's so heartwarming to watch you react to this series. I remember when I watched it about 5 years ago I was so obsessed with it. Months after watching every-time I heard the theme song a wave of nostalgia would wash over me; it still does to this day. The amount of times I have re-watch scenes from it is unhealthy. I am glad you are loving it. I promise you it will be one of those series that sticks with you forever. For me it was one of those series that solidified my love for the BL genre.

My least favorite is Stay Away From Me & My Hero. I think Trapped is pretty great and the rest may not quite match the same level. IMO, of course.

I don't really mind, but I wanna watch something with a mixture of sweet, spicy, and sad (not a sad ending tho)

Both of these dramas are a 10 for me. I don't remember details, but pretty sure both are HEA. The Eighth Sense prolly has less angst and drama due to the story line. But I don't remember for sure, so what do I know.

Flip a coin! They're both really really good. The Eight Sense was a lot more emotional for me, so maybe decide based on that???

The info below is from a Reddit post a year ago, so this was how I watched it (Viki, plus referring to this post for deleted scenes). There were posts afterwards that indicated certain deletions got added back, but not all. The deletions were mainly interactions between the leads (not NC since those had already been censored out); these scenes included ear biting scene when Yuan Zong was piggybacking Xia Yao, when XY enthusiastically hugged YZ after not seeing him for a while and more. The biggest one that I was mad about was Viki cut both characters' inner thoughts and unspoken feelings near the very end - that actually made a huge difference on how a viewer would perceive this, either a bromance or a BL. If those were included, it would have been very obvious it was a BL. Also, it's been a year since I watched, but I recall that the YT version had a weird cartoon ending that wasn't part of the novel. Just be aware that the ending might feel abrupt due to all the 2016-2017 censorship.

Yes. One ML has depression and is being treated for it. He had lost a family member. I am assuming you're binge watching. That's better than what we went through for those that watched when it was currently airing. We had to wait a week to find out what happened after episode 6.
