ANNUAL RESULTS ARE IN!
For our new or more recently active members, every year in May, we look over the results of the club's ongoing voting lists. And, that time has come!
Remember, throughout the year, please do feel free to add/vote new titles and re-rank the ones you've already voted on before.

Favorite Sapphic Headcanon/Ship |
For those that do not know, this list is for women characters that we desperately wish had been a couple in canon (the actual story). They had delicious tension, their storylines were well-suited to a romance between them, or they just didn't get their shot.
Twenty Five, Twenty One's main girls Hee Do and Yu Rim secured first place for the second year in a row, with 2 more voters and 203 points. Their ex-idol, rivals to friends, unwitting penpals dynamic would have been GREAT television. We mourn. In the meantime... anyone have recs? Or fanfiction? I'm not picky.
Squid Game's Sae-Byeok and Ji-Yeon came out of seemingly nowhere! Swooping into second place (farewell Search WWW, you will be missed). Doomed sapphic romance has seemingly been making a comeback in some GL/Yuri/WLW fandom spaces, and this would certainly fit that bill.
Until We Meet Again's Manow and Del are still in the top three! Though, man, their steady drop from first to second and now to third hurts me a little. No added votes or points. Which is a shame, because their chemistry did get us a sapphic episode between the two actresses in the anthology 7 Project. But, unfortunately, neither Studio Wabi Sabi nor GMMTV have figured out how to best utilize either of the actresses since.
Most Anticipated Upcoming Sapphic Stories |
Reverse 4 You had been in the top 3 for two years, taking first place last year. But, as it did wind up releasing at the end of last year, it did finally see its reign end. Pluto, last years 2nd place, also finished airing in January, and had to relinquish it's title.
Thus, we see The Last Case rising from two years in 3rd place into 1st place. But don't let the removal of the previous two titles think this was a lazy win. This drama gained two new voters and 209 more points. That means that not only did it get two more voters, but at least one existing voter moved this title up their list. This project has been silent for a while, but it hasn't been a year yet, so I'm still of the mind that this project has not been cancelled.
This year's second place winner, a title expected for 2026, is Cranium. Now this production has been announce to be in the works at least since January 2024... but the announcement of Freen and Becky being the leads really launched it into most anticipated territory for many people. Honestly, I'm quite surprised we didnt get more than 18 voters for it. But it would seem that of those 18 voters, many of them voted it quite highly, as it almost have a full 1800 points.
Be Mine, *long sigh*, finally made it into the top 3. Unfortunately, this drama does appear to be at least shelved. The cast has all left and have been pursuing other projects and goals. And while the producer/director has mentioned before that she still wanted to make this a reality, it has been quiet for a very very long time. Be Mine's presence on this list definitely raises the question of how long shelved/quietly cancelled projects should remain. But hey, perhaps the evidence that this is still highly anticipated will lure some sponsors and producers into action. *she says hopefully*
Please do let us know what results/changed surprised you? Who do you want to see in the top 3s next year?
And don't forget to keep voting!
