And signal of the heartbeat is awaiting approval here https://kisskh.at/edit/pending/titles

That page is different for all of us because it's a personal page. But hopefully it'll get accepted! ^^

Oh i didn't know that. I hope it does, it will be my first added title then

chiha:

Lmk which would be a better image as poster and satisfactory to the mods, I'm leaning more towards the second one but the lower two are more high res

If I'm being really honest, the only poster that's satisfactory to the staff is the official one. It was mentioned in the guidelines for cover image. But if that's not available, any other option works just to fill the section because if your submission gets approved, chances are the page/title will have a default poster. Just keep in mind that the approval process takes time, and the staff usually double-checks with each other before a page is approved. So they might find the official poster.

So most importantly, just follow the guidelines and don't be shy to ask the staff or other contributors. I've learned quite a few tricks about submissions that really help. Feel free to DM me in case anyone has questions about new titles / new person submission or edits.

Tina:

I've been wanting to finish this movie for the past 6 months. I started it in January afaik... it's July.

It's called The Twin Bracelets (Hong Kong, 1991). I'll watch it today. Wish me luck!

I see, thanks again Miz. The image i submitted doesn't meet many (or even any) of these guidelines. But hey, they can't possibly hunt for the official poster more than me lol, I went through their followers to try find the creators. They have a director, asst director, camerapersons etcetra but couldn't find them or any official images other than these. It's just a short, and unlike the other project released on douqi, there is nothing to be found

That's quite an effort. πŸ‘
But from what I know, some (if not most) of the staff are very well-versed in their assigned country section. And as you said yourself, some of China's websites are restricted in your region and I assume you don't speak Chinese as well, then the limitation is on your side, not theirs. So, they might or might not find the poster, but that's not the point. Like I said, if there's no official poster available, staff would just put the default poster. As a contributor, all you need to make sure is to follow the guidelines and provide the valid/reliable sources in order for your submission to be approved. Lack of valid sources would put the approval on hold even longer or risking your submission to be rejected.

I remember when my submission of "Stuck With Me" got approved, and there were many submissions before that were rejected just because they didn't cite that one official Thai website. A moot even called me out (playfully πŸ˜†). And many of Thai GL title submissions were approved just fine after that. They only got rejected if the submissions overlapped.

Yes that is true, i didn't try to access the Chinese websites. By default poster do you mean the one you shared or the one with the text that mdl generates (but this feature was somehow not working for me during this particular submission)

I've just finished "The Air", and here are some thoughts.

I enjoyed this drama, but I will admit I was expecting better after reading some very positive reviews. That's on me, as I should know by now to not let other viewers' opinions influence me.

The story was OK. Nothing particularly innovative, but also not terrible. I enjoyed watching Princess Blew's and Lom's attraction grow, especially when they were hiding out on the island. I also enjoyed the banter between the supporting characters.

Like most Thai GL dramas, the acting was fine, but unspectacular. I especially appreciate Freen's acting, as she seems very natural and believable. Becky's acting on the other hand often looks unnatural and forced to me, like she is trying just a little too hard.

My biggest gripe with this drama were the action scenes, which I found to be clunky and amateur and sometimes just made no sense. The fact that every one of the bad guys was comically incompetent didn't help matters. I sometimes found myself giggling when I should have been on the edge of my seat.

I definitely do recommend this drama, even despite its weaknesses.

The one with the text. But the default poster is usually added by the staff. So that's why I'm sharing you the tips to fill the cover image section, because without the image, you won't be able to submit the title.

Someone please add this to database. Breathing Underwater - https://letterboxd.com/film/breathing-underwater-2025/

That's very kind of you dear, thank you πŸ€—

Spider Lilies is on the list of titles Leaving Gagaoolala Soon. If you'd like to watch it, you need a sub to Gaga for a month. Idk if worth it but since I already have a sub, I'll watch it tomorrow and report back with my findings.

ooh please do! It looks so interesting but I need to usually be in a specific mood to watch gritty artsy stuff.

Speaking of gritty artsy Taiwanese movies, I liked wrath of desire a lot. If it's still on Gaga you can try it before the subscription expires. It's a psychological thriller yes, warped and uncomfortable but it's beautifully made. The director is of course Zero Chou
