Drama Summary:
The female lead's (FL) parents were once engaged, but her stepmother disrupted their future by drugging her father and sleeping with him. This betrayal led to their eventual marriage. After that, FL's mother passed away, leaving her behind. Fate brought FL to her father's household a place where her stepmother, stepsister, and stepmother’s brother became central figures in her life.
FL was emotionally and practically dependent on them for her grandmother . Sadly, this dependence was exploited, and FL suffered continuous mistreatment. Interestingly, the only kind gesture came from her stepmother’s brother, who showed her genuine kindness. Over time, this kindness turned into love , love that was first initiated by the uncle.
However, this budding relationship was unacceptable to the stepmother. She maliciously spread rumors that FL was seducing her uncle and trying to get into his bed a complete reversal of the truth. Shockingly, the uncle didn’t deny the false claims, fearing that choosing love over ambition would cost him his power, fame, and social standing.
Still, he couldn’t let FL go. Even though he was unwilling to give her a name or status, he forced her to stay in a nameless, secret relationship. But FL wasn’t willing to live like that. She loved him, yes , but not enough to accept a love without respect or identity.
To provoke the uncle and make a statement, FL shamelessly walks into the arms of the male lead (ML) , the very man her stepsister had her eyes on. She acts like a flirt, even a "slut" in the eyes of society, because she knows that’s the only way her sister will truly feel the sting of losing.
What no one knows is that the ML had admired FL since childhood. Unlike the uncle, the ML is the complete opposite , secure in his love, his position, and his power. He doesn’t have to choose between love and success. He can have both, and he’s willing to stand by FL openly.
FL and ML share undeniable chemistry. FL is not a pity case , even after enduring so much humiliation. She chooses to live boldly, laugh loudly, and enjoy life shamelessly. Her tears have long dried up.
Surprisingly, despite all the manipulation and betrayal, the characters feel justified in their roles. They’re human, complex, and flawed,except for the her father, who shows no hestitation or no remorse for what FL gone through . That’s the thing that remains deeply disappointing and the climax which rushed .
