Very rarely. All the ones I have watched, the kid was always adopted by the ML. I don't think the audience like it when the ML has a kid with an ex who is not the FL. But I have seen many where the FL has a ex-husband and a kid.
Agree, most I have seen are divorced FL with a kid and ML to the rescue who is willing to marry her. I think I just watched a Dong Yi drama where he had a kid and married a divorced lady so she could be a mother to his kid and at the very end they found out she was the birth mother to his kid, lol.
That's unfair. Both women and men should be treated the same.

I watched a crazy one where the FL found out later that was her kid but the kid barely had involvement in the story bc ML didn’t know he had a kid in the first place
Usually, if the FL doesn't have the child, the ML had the child since either a relative took the child at birth or an evil sfl stole the child under the pretense that she was the ONS.

Can no longer reply later down the thread so I'll do so here: Yeah, that's basically what happened except neither ML or FL had the child and they were like, living out in an orphanage or something. ML never even knew she had a baby after their hookup and the hookup is only mentioned in the show and the kid of FL is mentioned but doesn't play some major role of the story so they can spring it on you out of nowhere as you forget halfway through that there's a missing baby of FL.
