Mandarin language doesn't use personal pronouns, which confuses AI translators, which is why you can see the same person referred to as he/him and she/her in the same sentence. Since the pronouns are goofy, all the words that logically relate to the pronoun--husband or wife, for example, also are screwy. Other translations errors may have to do with cultural uses of words like "aunt, brother, uncle, etc" to refer to people who are wholly unrelated to the speaker.
Watch enough dramas with these errors and you sort of learn to fix the mistakes on the fly, in your head.
