Sometimes, I feel really bad after finishing a drama, so I want something funny, relaxing, and lighthearted to watch in between the painful, heart-wrenching shows I honestly enjoy. (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)

I know I’m addicted to «sadness» but being serious, some shows hit me hard. I end up needing a break from watching anything, and after that «hiatus», it’s difficult for me to find something to balance out the trauma.

If you could give me some recommendations for great funny shows, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you in advance.ᐟ.ᐟ

Drama:

Hillarious Family it's funnier in the first few episode and getting into the plot since then but there are still funny scenes here and there.

I Am Nobody there are some sad scenes and there is season 2. Season 1 is brighter than S2 since S2 has super sad episode (episode 12) but if you like S1 make sure to also watch S2 since it's also funny. I ptw the donghua. That's how much I love this drama.

Oh No! Here Comes Trouble you can skip finale episode since it's so sad. The sadness starts around the last 5-10 minutes of episode 11.

Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 similarly there are some sad scenes every now and then but it's so funny.

The Sound of Your Heart not a single episode is not funny but it may be a bit gross in the first episode iirc, you can skip it right to episode 2 if you hate jokes about bowel movement and nudity.

Movie:

Mr. Pride vs Miss Prejudice there's more of comedy than the plot but it's so hillarious.

The Con-Heartist it's so funny but make sure not to watch it while eating or snacking since there's saliva joke.

Too Beautiful To Lie similarly there are some sad scene but mostly funny.

You can try The Boy Next Door. It's a mini series and I remembered wheezing from laughter when watching it😂

OMG I've been thinking about watching this one because I love Jang Ki Yong 😍

Go Back Couple has plenty of hilarious moments in it, though other flavors of life as well. :) I can't think of anything that's 100% silly.

Here's my recommended list for laughter, fun and much more. The Boy Next Door is included, which I loved!!

You'll forget all about the sadness :-)

Low Season - Icky looking ghosts show up now and then and there are some well-timed, and funny, jump scares, but it's not horror and it's not scary. The female lead sees ghosts.
Mostly it takes its time to wander around the lush North Thailand landscape with no grand plot, just two people becoming friends and figuring their relationship out. It's like a wee holiday.

Suddenly 20 - Funny and heartfelt. Young Mai Davika channeling Audrey Hepburn channeling a feisty, outrageous gran.

My Boo - Rom com with ghosts. Ghosts aren't icky looking and it's not scary at all. There isn't a whole lot of plot but it's sweet and funny. Like many Thai movies, it's very unrushed, which is something I've come to treasure.

These are all comedies. Thailand also has a lovely way of surrounding sadness and grief with warmth and kindness. They have a much gentler pacing then Kdrama so it depends on whether you're addicted to sadness or to the K- emotional rollercoaster. If you're open to trying a different approach, maybe something on here will appeal? Moonlight Chicken is an excellent one to start with. There are moments in there which just cradle the characters' pain, ours too if we let it.
