Hi Unbeliebubble dear,
Think Koreans prefer certain actors over others. The funny thing is I don't like any K dramas which are huge success in Korea. I like K dramas which are more successful internationally but somewhat considered a failure in Korea. Hahaha So my way of thinking is Korea is just a dot in the whole world, so it's successful in Korea so what. International success is more cool and harder to achieve and majority rules and all that! Hahaha 🤣 🤣 🤣 Gotta find silver linings!
Happy Valentine's Day my dear! Wish you have a wonderful Valentine's Day with your significant other! 🥂🥂🥂
Hello Evie Zan dear,
You know what you make a lot of sense. Indeed, fangirling for some actors can make a work successful. In the late year a lot of dramas and movies are funded featuring idol actors. This phenomenon is operating worldwide. In China also I saw that happening, but I have the impression there are less occurences.
Your are also right because I looked at the schedules and learned that while those show was airing, other big commercial success was also airing.
At the time, "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" was facing "The K2" with Ji Chang Wook. So people possibly rushed to him. I didn't check the rating but I guess it is what happened.
At the time also, "The King's Affection" was facing "The red sleeve" and "Hapiness"( although it is not direct competency because it is not a romance, it has elements of romance), I suppose this also was big competition to the drama. Again, I did not check the ratings but I suppose these two dramas impacted the "The King's Affection".
I totally agree with you. A success internationally is more valuable that a success only domestically, because it means undoubted commercial success for the studio.
Happy valentines day, enjoy the presence of you loved one and your family 🌹🌹🌹 ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡‧₊˚
