in the novel Song Han is a child of Duke's mistress, and Madam Jiang's daughter was swapped with SH. She has died in the first lifetime and was rescued in the second one. However we may not see her in the drama based on the cast list and current course of events.

That makes sense now. Thanks. It was not disclosed in the drama at this stage that SH is the son of his mistress. Swapping a baby of different gender? Maybe that part they change a bit.

Since Li Yaoniang was mentioned, SH and Jiang Yan (SM's bio sister) plot should still be in the drama. My guess is Jiang Yan was also already dead in this 2nd life in the drama as opposed to the novel where she was alive. So, upon learning of the full story and Jiang Yan's dead, SM went crazy and almost killed his father in ep25. That's my guess.

Thanks. Drama getting more convoluted now. Does SM remember his past life as well? I don't know which ep it was revealed that Yan Tong remembered his past life just like DZ.  Do you remember? I don't recall the moment they both realised they were re-born.

Regarding Ji Yong, I think it's in one of the early episodes where they were still in Zhending. Even then, it was not confirmed explicitly imo. In the novel, only Dou Zhao had memory of past life.

Jian Yang's story in the novel was very pitiful.

Jian Yang grew up unloved in the hand of Li Yaoniang. She was married off to some swindler first. Then, that swindler in order to appease his boss, pass her up to him. When that boss's father saw her, took a liking because of her beauty and snatched her off of his son. When the father's wife learn about it, sold her to a slave trader to get rid of her. Only then Dou Zhao with the help of Chen Jia got winds about the existence of Jian Yang and was able to save her.

No wonder Song Mo upon learning it instantly grew deep hatred toward both his father and Song Han. He also lamented her passing in his first life in front of Dou Zhao with deep regret as well.

Don't think the drama will go that deep with Jian Yang's story though.

It's making sense now although I cannot see how someone would go to such extend to destroy another person. eg SM's father and DZ's step-mother.  I hope the drama has a happy ending.

For SM's father part, his inner thoughts were described in details regarding it. His inferiority complex was so big that he would rather see a single moment of Madam Jiang's suffering over losing his flesh and blood daughter for a life time. Also, in his eyes, Song Han's value lies in irritating Madam Jiang and Song Mo. That's it, period.

It's amazing how the roots of his villainous acts are so simple and grounded to reality. No grand ambition or whatsoever.

Patricide can't happen for SM, so DZ will stop him for sure. Shown in ep 25 teaser as well.

I just hope SM's father face the same ending as in novel.

Song Yichun thinks with his dick.

We now have Song Mo rejecting Dou Zhao thinking he is going to be dead in one year!  The storyline is getting crappier.

What about Song Han and Miss Miao?  We've roughly got nine episodes left before the drama ends.

With Song Han real status already exposed, may be they already scrapped the Song Han x Miao Ansu ship? Song Han was depicted as not that evil in the drama so far. So, there's still some chance Miao Ansu and Song Han organically fall in love. But, this late into the drama with major plots going ham...

I really really hope they do not take the noble idiocy route for Song Mo and Dou Zhao. 

The thing is Song Yichun claimed he never poisoned Madame Jiang.  So, I suspect Song Han did it.  That's why Song Mo killed Song Han in their previous universe.
