In my personal opinion which might be right or wrong: The show writers wanted to maximize sales and views by creating an intriguing character. Min is a sweet lover but he's still a criminal that kidnaps, punches and almost kills.

Min fell in love for Q before the kidnap. Who wouldn't? Q is so hot. (They're all hot to be honest)

If Q was ugly and untalented, would Min keep him alive? 

Why did Min reject Q's offer and once again chose the worst way of making money?

Humans can be cute lovers and still commit crimes. Min is a double faced red flag, enjoy the show but avoid this type in real life.

So far (ep 3) the show doesn't make a good enough job in painting criminals as problematic and undesireable. This show perpetuates toxic messages that will shape society for the worst.
