I am still not convinced MY love EJ, I have the feeling that she's the second best for him.

SPOILER [and can someone explains to me why did he look suprised when he saved her if he knew it was her all along, sorry but I am not buying the shoe thing]

but the actors were great that for sure. For them I give this drama a 4. I am really disappointed.

I dont really understand why people didnt like hmmm...for me I love every second!!! Obviously there are a few flaws but it did not disappoint :) thought the ending was just wonderful :) maybe 8/9

Although I do wish there was a bit more romance between Mu Yeol and Eun Jae then it would be 10!!

I loved Eun Jae, Moo Yeol, and most of the supporting characters but the plot line just crashed and burned. What makes me sad is that Moo Yeol and Eun Jae were perfect for each other. The cast was great but the drama fell short in the end.


I couldnt agree more.

*"Wild Romance" was supposed to tell the hate-to-love transition between MY and EJ with the underlying subplot of the stalker case. Then the writers decided to add the ex-girlfriend case and that's exactly when the wild romance crashed and burned. I don't mind a little spice with your typical rival girl, but she usually knows when to take off. This one didn't go, she was THERE and NEEDY ALL THE ****ING TIME. I swear the story was building nicely until Mu Yeol and Eun Jae came back from his "soul searching trip". We had some great angst and bonding in the cottage, then Jong Hee dropped in the restaurant like an atomic bomb! Eun Jae disappeared from Mu Yeol's eyes (never to return again?), Soo Young paid a visit to crazytown, later dragging her husband and the stalker auntie went berserk. Am I right? Y/Y.

Eun Jae was a successfully written character and she delivered her part rightfully. I went past her appearance and put myself in her shoes feeling her pain. It was already hard for her to admit her worst enemy became special in her heart so how could she make a move while Jong Hee was always there? How could she not misunderstand when Mu Yeol gave Jong Hee so much attention while he kept treating her like a man? The girl has some pride and I'd be jealous if I were her too. Mu Yeol, you're the stupid one and you don't understand shit about women. This last episode pissed me off.

Eun Jae's father and brother, Manager Kim, Dong Ha and Reporter Go are the only other characters that stayed true to themselves until the end. Everyone else failed if you ask me.

P.S.: I was wondering who was that woman from the clothes shop Reporter Go went to and why did they show her at the end. I swear I was like "uuuuh, why are we following this character exactly?", then I remembered she was the failed actress/scammer the auntie used to get to MY the first time ah ah... I thought damn, we do come a long way.
P.P.S.: RIP the hot/psycho waiter, I guess? He had a sad and forgotten death. For a split second, I thought the stalker aunt was his mom, because of the "rumor" the ahjumma said to reporter Go. Tell me I'm wrong, that'd be twisted of her to kill her own son now.
P.P.P.S.: When Dong Ha found her hair on Manager Kim suit and asked when did it drop and he replied "just now", am I the only one who thought those two had some wild thing going on that wasn't screened?*

I totally agree with everything you said! And I'm sad about Psycho Waiter cause he was hot and even though he was psycho i still liked him for some strange reason lol.

i think we'll be seeing more of psycho waiter very soon, not only was he hot, but he was a pretty good actor. i suspect wild romance will lead to other jobs for him.

I agree with you there. I'd like to see him again. He played that psychological bad guy role very well. I wish they would have made him the stalker. He was very menacing. He pulled it off!

I was surprised that he drunk the tea. I thought he was smarter than that since he figured out the stalker.

*I think the writers should have shown the audience a bit more credit and written their characters to be smarter. He was very smart all the way through until that moment. Which was his undoing.

I swear when he was on the hill with Dong Ah I was genuinely frightened for her. I wasn't sure which way they are going to go and if she would escape him.

he totally did! i think he was creepier than Ahjumma. he's got that "looks like you could snap him in half" thing goin' that's so popular in Korea these days so i think he'll go far.

in literature we call this "the idiot"plot device". it is when there is no other explination for the character's actions except sudden onset acute idiocy. and crazy waiter drinking the tea isnt the only instance of it. SPOILER--> PMY's buddy beating him up for example. this character was a fairly intelligent dude, surely this was not the best solution he could come up with!

the idiot plot device is the tool of weak writers, or at least writers who are out of their depth, and i think we had a lot of that going on in wild romance.

the comedy and PMY and YEJ's push and pull were well written, as were the dynamics of PMY and JH's relationship. these were obviously areas where the writers were comfortable. they were much less proficient with the heavier elements of the plot, plainly evidenced by how poorly they stitched it all together.

Totally agree! There are several places where I thought they used idiot plot device and got lazy.

1) Jessica. And I don't mean they were lazy all the way through. Her introduction into the story and for a while was fine. After a while her character was too important for way too long.

2) Then there was the whole "Ahjumma has magic powers to bend everyone to her will. The first two I could buy since they centered around greed. But Soo Young and Dong Soo, I can't forgive. I understand a miscarriage is a traumatizing thing but I'm supposed to buy that she saw one picture and flipped out and went and destroyed all those paintings? I'm supposed to buy the completely idiotic (beyond idiotic plot device) action of her completely rational husband? This was the killer blow for me with this show. How this was handled killed my love.

3) The Bodyguard stepping out of the car and missing the Ahjumma scene.

4) The whole "Well, if Crazy Ahjumma says he doesn't love me than it MUST be true!

*can I have her powers of persuasion please? Can we bottle and sell that crap?
