Love of Nirvana Characters' Analysis

Guys, I noticed something since I'm re-watching Love of Nirvana. I'm just so sooooo excited to share this:)))

You remember the flower petals cascading on Jiang Ci and Wei Zhao in Nanling? Before Wei Zhao could caress the flower, it flew to Ci and before she could touch & admire it, it flew back to him. It's a display of their love actually. Their love didn't need affirmation or Confession. It just transcended & embedded itself in their lives.  In the final episodes, we see Wei Zhao accepted her as his wife without expressly telling her & she does the same after he is dead too. We don't have a single ' confession' scene but the beauty of their connection & care is still visible just like the pretty flower petals in the air.

I'm happy you realised this. Through the whole last arc, if you noticed, they only 'live in the moment'.

Yeah, reading your writing also helped me notice more of the subtle subtext in this drama. They really did "live in the moment," which is why their conversations always tried to stay light-hearted, like when Jiang Ci "took over" Wei Zhao’s swing.

Even in some versions, they might have different or extra scenes

Ohh, so that was really the official music video from the Love of Nirvana OST. I haven’t found the original link yet, though the one I sent was from a fan account of Ren Jialun. I didn’t know it’s actually normal for Chinese dramas to have different clip cuts like that in MV versions. Thanks for the info^^

I guess like me, everyone ended up rewatching Forever & Ever to heal from the heartbreaks lol.

There is a reason why the Director shot the flower petals back and forth between them that way.  Other than what you wrote -- which is fantastic, the flower petals as well could symbolize 'love' and it was the beginning when they start catching feeling with one another and you can see how the 'love' go towards each other that night. It wasnt just one-sided love but both of them feel the same way.

Just a heads up, Demon Hunter probably going to drop tomorrow. This is such a good news since we have been waiting for 2 years for this drama lol. Now that Song Zu'er has been cleared from her Tax Evasion scandal, the drama can finally aired. Its from a good IP and directed by a famous Director so we can expect another excellent project from Ren Jialun, hopefully. :D

Yes me too. I guess if we keep rewatching the show, we will keep noticing more nuances in the script. 🍭😂 The drama is very well written with many details after all.
