Because in the book, Tonghua always hides the dark lines of yaoliu. Tonghua will not give the answer directly.
Actually, there are a lot of Tonghua clues. But again, whether you want to accept it or not. Even when Tonghua said that the choice of the heroine was due to her psychological shortcomings, you didn't even accept it.
Since this is literature , maybe this can answer:
Xiaoyao vs.Xiang Liu=Xuanxuan vs. Xiaoyao
Xiaoyao vs.Xuanxuan=Xuanxuan vs. A-Nian
Xiaoyao vs.TSJ=Xuanxuan vs. Xinyue

Don't even waste your time. This is not the place to be having intelligent discussions.

Uploaded the missing parts and added the chinese original version, so the interview is complete.
=> Should be re-rereaded with attention .......! <3
Thank you for sharing this! I totally see this in the novel! Yes everyone got what they wanted most in the end so technically it was already a fair ending for all of them, and the result of their choices. Always believed the title reflected CX’s character - my tragic hero.

We've argued quite a bit over these non-sourced bits. But I don't think it's about wants, but goals. I don't think there's any doubt that what CX and XL wanted most was to love XY, but their goals and responsibilities got in the way of her goals and wants. Plus, there's also the fact that XL's love was unselfish and fulfilling her goals, and even the origin of CX's goal was to protect XY and himself. Whereas XY wanted a love relationship with XL, but her fears made her work towards a relationship with Jing.
I need to read the book as a whole. I felt in the drama that CX didn't quite get a fair portion of the drama, so it looks like XY's story exclusively.

What are your thoughts, Kokuto, after watching S2. I do feel that we get to see more of CX in this season (altho I will say the novel gave a more detailed look at his journey - many parts were omitted in the drama for all characters tbh). Will you be reading the novel after the drama ends?
