there's more

Dude...that last one...my chest hurts wtf... it was already so sad in the novel. The show is going to wreck me. Ik they were keeping that pearl tear for a reason but not that reason omg. I hate it here

I finally found the list

Things changed:

  • Cang Xuan colluding with Hou to kill Jing is just a product of a illusion created by his grandfather, to remind him of the consequences should he give in to his inner desires and kills Jing over Xiao Yao
  • Xiao Yao's hair apparently turned white after Jing's death, but was restored in the end
  • Xiao Yao never sees Xiang Liu's true form, and by extension her clinging on to Xiang Liu afterwards because the assassination attempt was omitted.
  • After Xiao Yao passed out due to extensive loss of blood extracted by Xiang Liu, he kissed her wrists to heal the wounds and held her unconscious form in his arms in grief
  • A Nian brought the unconscious Xiao Yao to Jade Mountain at Xiang Liu's request, with the knowledge of the Royal Mother. Xiang Liu later extracts an oath from her never to reveal anything to Xiao Yao
  • Xiang Liu's true form appears when he destroys the bug - 8 heads at first (because he lost one life saving her after the Plum Forest assassination). We do see how indeed each head is tied to each life, when he killed one life to lure out the bug, and sacrificed two more lives to finally kill it
  • The copious amount of blood he took from Xiao Yao was not to save Jing, but for Xiao Yao to recover after he forcibly lured the lover's bug out of her and killed it
  • A Nian was grieved when the clam shell disintegrated in a sudden snow fall, leaving no trace of Xiang Liu ever being there
  • Jing survives not because Xiang Liu saved him, but of Xiao Yao's blood pill and him using a puppet which took the arrow during the attack. He was trapped in an underground cave, and would not have survived if he had not taken Xiao Yao's pill to regain his strength and clawed his way out
  • Xiao Yao found out about Xiang Liu's death before the wedding. This time the scene ends with the song she sang to lure Fei Fei
  • A Nian's sadness while giving the big bellied doll to Xiao Yao, reminding her specifically to bring it with her wherever she goes, so that a part of Xiang Liu is forever with her, even if she doesn't know it
  • Xiao Yao and Jing leave for Qingshui town after their wedding, instead of going to the ocean to settle down in one of the many uncharted islands

Things are looking grim, Fancy. I don't fancy that 😹

I feel those chest pains too. On a daily basis

 Kokuto:
You can do that? I had no idea.

But then you have those #hashtag folks who put everyone's name on their posts. grrrrrr

Yep, it's so annoying. They put everyone's names so it blacklists people who aren't him too 🤦🏻‍♀️

 ErickaRamirez:

But the worst experience that I had here on mdl was with the trolls that follow Xiao Zhan. Unfortunately Érica and two other friends went there to defend me and they were attacked too. And everything started with just a simple comment and he wasn’t even mentioned it there. I had to block 4 people on that thread

Yeah, I had no idea that the Chinese fans were so fanatical.  I mean, so bad the government steps in, over there.

I remember you talking about that.  The more popular the celeb, the more fanatical his fans, I think.

LOL, this is annoying af. Why did they do that. That whole scene in the novel where XY discovers what he did was so good and heartbreaking. I was looking forward to it.

Idk how to feel about this...

Are they trying to kill me wtf. And A Nian has to take all of this to her grave. I hate this wtf.

I knew that they changed XL being the one to save him but not the extent of it. Ngl...I don't like this change tbh but it's not terrible.

 Elise:

I'm super excited for this ngl...I hope her tears are heartbreaking because I love heartbreaking lover scenes lmao🤣😂 I know a lot of fans aren't going to like this though. It will start back up the whole "she doesn't actually love XL, she does actually love XL" debate. Especially given that her hair doesn't turn white after finding out he died like it did for Jing.

 Elise:

This is so fucking annoying omg. XL is so stubborn even in death. I hate him for it 😂😂

..... Does it say why they made this change?? Why not going to the ocean?

Sigh...I don't hate yaojing because I like all the ships but it's annoying how it feels like yaoliu and yaoxuan are having certain aspects of their character arcs changed because of anticipation for the public's reaction. From season 1 alone I could see that a lot of people are either too closeminded or ridged to allow this story to be the reverse harem that it truly was in the novel. That's probably why TH switched things up. Cause people are complaining about XY and Xuan being related, about XY going on dates with XL, about XY "leading on" all the male lead *eye-roll* it's annoying. And it makes me nervous for Legend of Rosy Clouds because that one is supposed to be a reverse harem too but I heard they changed it. Why even adapt a reverse harem if the public will greatly disapprove of that sort of genre?

I really, really, really hate it when people do that.  I don't mind a lot of tags, IF they are related to what's actually there.

Yeah but TJC and YZ are such good actors that it will hurt me so much more than it did when I read it...and idk if I am ready for that tbh...

We had speculated when the episode came out, that was how the pearl tear would be used, so I'm not surprised.  I think that's a good addition in the drama.

It's a good addition but the way I am going to be in shambles...my chest already hurts...I can't go through ROP vibes again!!

Yeah, that was pretty bad. I remember that damn Snail or Turtle or whatever was pretty rude. It was funny, though. I got some friend requests after that hahaha

They were psycho Kokuto. I’m always respectful but they went crazy for a comment that it was talking about so many people were talking about in the latest comments. So for my peace of mind, i decided that for his next dramas I’m not to make any comments on their mdl pages. It’s an experience that I don’t want to repeat. And thank goodness for that block button 😂😂

Love the actor but a lot of his fans are nuts 😂😂 tbh though...a majority of c-ent stars have psycho fans. You can't even make one critique, comment, or joke without people attacking you.

They were really unhinged. At first, it didn't seem too serious, but things got out of control pretty quickly. It made no sense whatsoever, you just said what a lot of others were already saying way before.

Again.  We don't know if this is actually the script.  It could be fan fiction.   Even if it were the script, we don't know which version.  Plus there's alot that happens after the script, with shooting and the actors and editing.  We'll see how it goes.

On the plus side, XL does have guardian angels in the production, like Tong Hua and Tan Jian Ci.  I think even Yang Zi might be a closet XL fan.  And the first season was pretty close to the novel, is my understanding.  I don't know why they would suddenly veer off in the second half.
