I don't know how I feel about a FL who has a guy who is going blind falling in love with her and she continues to willingly choose to fool him and others
To be honest, I have no idea what eye condition ails Tang Yuexi, and no clue why the series of blows from her deception is worsening it. But you're right, whatever the premise is, let's hope we are not left with a female lead we find impossible to empathise or root for. While it's pegged as a romantic fantasy, it does sound like there will be angst (it won't be Tong Hua without it). Just no idea how much pain she is planning to inflict on the characters and viewers.

I think TJC's role in the film Again and Again might be that of an artist who is losing his sight...and I think his character in ShaPoLan also was blind or partially blind, I'm curious why he has continued to pick somewhat similar roles. I mean, I guess he wants the challenge of playing a blind guy and I'm sure he will do a great job, but...well, I'm not his manager or in charge of his career choices...some of his more recent project picks have bemused me and I'll just leave it at that.
I didn't realise his character is losing his sight in Again and Again - thought it was a story of two people whose relationship somehow kept encountering stumbling blocks one way or another, and now are hoping that this time they would learn from past mistakes.
Interesting observation about the recurring theme in his roles. I haven't read 杀破狼 but my impression is that Gu Yun gradually lost his sight much later, since he did not appear to be visually impaired in scenes from early days.
Which of his projects do you find questionable? The fluffy romances? I would love to see him more in darker roles. Not sure whether I am overthinking it but the last scene in Under the Skin when the painting under his self-portrait is revealed, seems to hint at a darker side of Shen Yi than what we have seen so far.
