The bad guy who made their happily ever after a reality. In ancient China, such debts of gratitude often warranted the recipients and their descendants bowing down to and even putting up a family altar to honour the one who made their happiness possible.

I'm thinking of getting a tattoo. Would that be too dramatic?

 liddi:

Yay! Now you can start reading the novel, in time for when S2 finally airs!

Anyway, gotta turn in for now. May all things smile in your favour and wishing you a marvellous day!

Yeah hahaha

You too!! Good night! <3

 MySiFeng:
I might ending up traumatized by this whole thing. Since this is my first TH's drama adaptation and knowing she's also the screenwriter... she needs to stay away far from me.

I'm going to wait for all the episodes to come out first. I need to know if that new drama with Li Landy will have a happy ending before watching it. I was already traumatized with The Starry Love's ending with her character sacrificing herself and now with XL's death on the way for season 2..... A bad ending is a no watch from me.

 liddi:
I honestly don't understand the attacks that are hurled. Their ship is the one that gets to sail to a happily ever after, so why feel so threatened? Of course, if Xiang Liu had chosen not to wake Xiao Yao up at the end of the 37 years in time for her to go and save Jing; or if he had chosen not to save Jing after Hou's attack on him and waking him up in time, there would be no happily ever after to speak of. Instead it would be one very dead Jing, one very dead Xiang Liu and Xiao Yao living the rest of her life as the newly minted Royal Mother. Perhaps only then would the fanwars stop?

Exactly. They already get their happy ending. What more could they ask for?

Some of them can't stand it when "green flag" Jing gets criticized so they go after us, not Xiang Liu since there's not much they can criticize him with except for some of the stuff he did in the beginning.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
 nathsketch:

I'm sorry, but I can't get along with people who write this kind of thing:

"They’re just stupid, they’ve turned into theory experts since it’s not in their favor. You know when you’re delusional to the point you start making your own hullabaloo stories in your head? Yeah that’s what the other side are doing."

"Lmaoooo you know dense people tend  to always make a fool of themselves so allow them, cos we know it’s going to happen ???"

I hope karma arrives quickly.

Ridiculous. That's all I'm going to say.

 MySiFeng:

I found an interesting comment from zhihu. Someone said this:

And I want each of our willows(XL name) stand up and not be rubbed on the ground. Tu Shanjing's role is tailored for Xiaoyao, not for readers, and he is funny to the end. You can like his gentleness and consideration, but don't ignore his fatal shortcomings. The bottomless kindness itself is the greatest evil.

That's so cute. Is willows the Xiang Liu fans' nickname?

That fox gave me red flag vibes ever since he ghosted XY.

Don't engage... don't give this the time of day. It's not worth it.

Not sure what the original text is, but the Liu 柳 in Xiang Liu means "willow".

When I saw this scene, I started to waver.

I was very on board at first, but this...hmmm

The weakness started to show so early in the story. Dude legit turned his fluffy tails and vanished. Not a good look.

This would be a recurrent theme throughout the drama. Imagine ending up with such a man.

NOPE. But when you have issues, I suppose anything is better than nothing.

It's all about context.....

The stuff at the start.. if you break into someone's house now and you get catch it's reasonable to expect police to come and throw you in jail. In the book setting it's reasonable that if you break into military grounds and attack people you would be physically punished....

He threw here out of the tree but she did offer it as a choice for him which meant that really wasn't going to far. It's part of their engagement.

Only bad thing was at the start he did bite her against her will but that was really an empty threat in context...

Later bites he still bite her without asking but once again context and girl really really liked it. It was like their kink...

I keep reading how they want us to meet a XL in real life. Why do you wish I'll on others over something that's fictional... It's so un grounded...

To be honest I do want to meet someone who loves me deeply and selflessly, asking for nothing in return, connects with me and makes my heart beat. Everyone has boundaries and as long as they don't overstep it's ok. IMO.

I am very confused by the Jing thread and they combine comments about text and social comments... Half the things makes no sense to me...

It's very ironic that we the red flag toxic abuser are so civilized and don't actually make call or wish them ill in our discussions. We're just confused... While the green flag does..

Sorry to interrupt… but I thought I would never find this bear dance off video again and it popped up in my feed.

Agreed. I don't get how him doing what he's supposed to be doing in the middle of a war is somehow the equivalent of domestic abuse. Oh, but the lashes! There's context for that.

Dude is a literal demon that everyone fears and she kept provoking him.

LOL that was totally a kink (๑乛 v 乛๑)

Not gonna lie. I want that too. It is what it is.

THIS.

It's migraine-inducing. The confusing grammar, the bad edits, those fugly gifs. Look at the quality of the gifs that Elise makes. Pure art. Theirs are always so strange.

It's all so weird. This green flag talk is so hypocritical. Not to mention that he isn't and will never be a green flag. He's as flawed and questionable as any of the others, if not worse. At least the others don't hide behind the Good Guy™ facade.

Whenever I see videos like these, I once again, have to bow down to the person responsible for casting him. There's not even a glimmer of Xiang Liu in there 😄.

What do you mean there's not a glimmer of Xiang Liu in this creature?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
