Weird that during my 1st watch, i was so indifferent.
Now, in all their scenes, I'll be wondering what's XL is feeling right then and i pity him.

exactly why blurred the exciting scene😭.  Now I feel robbed because there was no new hot dance show on his birthday. But I guess his schedule was really crazy this year and he needs some rest too that he didn’t have the time to study new dance choreo. I‘ll be waiting patiently for his new dance gig and until then I‘ll replay his wet the bed, imma get it and his campus go performance  on repeat.

yes, me too. I want to rewatch the LFY to catch all the the details I was missing before but I really don‘t have the stomach to watch XY-TSJ scenes knowing that XL feels everything 😭😭😭

We do need to observe his dance carefully in all angles in order to be able to judge it objectively. üLOL. And my conclusion is...TJC is damn HOT🔥🔥🔥.

Also, I don’t know if it fits to ask this here: Is there anyone interested in how the Dahuang world is like as I am? These days I've been imagining that magnificent world based on Chinese mythology and history. How I wish Tonghua could develop this series into a world like Harry Potter, she does have that potential, why wasting her precious time on those mediocre modern drama??

You two do have a good point.  The film language DOES signal that XL / FFB are the ML love interest.  These entrances are stellar and sexy.  Their scenes are smoking!

He's the third male lead, but is reading the script for the first male lead. All the set-up between him and XY pointed to a typical OTP. Besides, we knows that despite Jing being "male lead" on the ground of ending up with XY, XL is the one that she truly loves 😉

According to the leaked script, we are going to see XL's reacting to the shared connection of the Lovers Bugs when XY-Jing is intimate. Is the drama trying to make us hate the female lead? Besides YaoJing's shippers who else is going to watch this and not come away with a bad impression of XY? Maybe they are trying to increase viewers' sympathy for him so the pay-off for when he died will be bigger?

Exactly, and I can't even bring myself to watch it all, let alone rewatch his scenes because it's all too heartbreaking. He shouldn't have to suffer so much all the time. Hasn't he been tortured enough?

I would say they really succeeded in making me dislike the drama XY. They are shooting their own foot with those changes. They must smoked potent stuff during the brainstorming and scriptwriting to butcher a perfectly good novel to think that their ideas are improvement of the novel. Healing message my foot!

I don’t know, maybe they really aim to kill us all XL fans with depression and sadness by showing us explicitly what it means for XL sharing and feeling XY‘s emotions, the novel didn‘t do this as far as I know. I‘m already can‘t move on after watching S1 and joining this forum discussion, what a mess I would be after S2. HELP!

I agree, it would be nice to see a little more worldbuilding and maybe even some spinoffs. To be honest, I'm losing interest because of Xiang Liu's fate, but I agree that she could develop a more complete franchise with all those characters and places. The potential is huge.

That's just awful and it contradicts everything that we know about Tong Hua's constant claims that Xiang Liu is her favorite character. I don't doubt that he is, considering how much more care she put into writing his character, compared to the other dude. He got an epilogue, for crying out loud!

And now they'll just keep torturing him more and more during season 2? Isn't it enough what is going to happen to him in the end?

I think and I hope this will backfire spectacularly. I already have zero sympathy for the female lead. Never really cared much about her, to be honest, especially when she became a woman.  But the way this thing is going, it's difficult for the majority of the audience to sympathize with her. Her "childhood trauma" free pass card is already too much of a cliché at this point.

Season 2 really is trying to amp up the depression, but that's a big turn-off. The world already is too depressing. No need to make things worse. 

On the other hand, maybe all this depression and sadness will eclipse that pathetic "happy ending". Maybe it's all a blessing in disguise.
