Actually I think there may be a way to save XL: XY is princess of Haoling, so why can't she send a secret letter to Hong Jiang in an official name asking for a secret meeting, and then pretend to be a special envoy to see him?(Remember she can freely change her appearance?) As a princess, there's a lot she can offer to the Chenrong army : How about 50 years of army provisions in exchange for commanding XL to live for other missions before the last battle? XY's king father is richer than TSJ, and is willing to secretly support the Chenrong army. So why not give it a try? It can be even easier if she could find out her true origin(the daughter of a Chenrong soldier) like CX did, and could show it to Hong Jiang. Then I'm sure there will be no any true barrier between them after "the last battle". Both of them are able to disappear without a trace. Neither TSJ nor CX is able to know where they have gone when they finally run away together.

that‘s really contradictory right, how they hyped XL for marketing but on the other hand diminishing his role/sacrifices according to the leaked script. This made me having some tiny bit hope again that the leaked script is not the end version of how things go down in S2.

Yeah, it makes no sense whatsoever! He does everything, literally everything. He's the one they put on advertising, he's the one saving people's lives all the time, he's the most beautiful, the most talented, but sure, let's erase his efforts.

I hope this is all a bad dream :/

I feel like such a squandered potential having the plot twist that she's actually the daughter of a demon and not develop it more in a way that she also ends up with a demon, but not in a tragic way as her parents. That would be the true healing. She could deal with her issues, she could deal with the generational trauma.

Not whatever nonsense they're trying to make us accept with that fox. No healing in that, just two messed-up people playing house.

I can not agree more. And what‘s so mess up (I think someone mentioned this already before), XY ended with Jing, someone who‘s already proven to be willing to follow her to death and leaving (if they ever have) children alone. That is just backwards and ironic too especially when she herself told CX, about how witnessing CX‘s mother‘s death shaped her and she‘ll never do the same. In the end she ends up with someone just like her aunt though. The part when she was so touched after knowing that TSJ followed her in death (in coma) after her assasination  felt to me a bit contradictory actually with her character (her conversation above with CX), when I think it through. I do get that she was touched by TSJ deep love but shouldn‘t exactly this mentality of TSJ with it’s implication that he’s going to die with her and abandon their children if there is any, also put her off of him as longterm partner.

I think this is one of my problem with TSJ character. On paper he really looks good, kind sweet etc, but as soon as I think it through I really don‘t see how he is the right person for XY actually, even accounting for XY confession that TSJ taught her about kindness and forgiveness. He may be good green flag fit with some flaws for other girls but for XY, meh.

Sorry I‘m ranting again.
