Hello there, 🤭 Both ZYHLJ and I are still around. Just no motivation to finish🥹

Awwww.  Should we provide carrots???

I'll be happy to contribute 2 packages of Snail Noodles :-)

🤭🤭🤭🤭 too much going on. maybe I'll try to finish it this year. not sure about ZYHLJ, but maybe we can find her and ask for more too.

I used to chat with her on WeChat, but it's been a while since she last sent a message. She might have moved on, which is the healthy approach.

Both of your writing skills are strong🤍 What is discouraging

you people from finishing the rest of the story is beyond

me. Your readers shouldn't be left in such agony by you🥺

 Post the last chapter🙏

I miss Xiaoyao & Xiangliu terribly😭

You've finished watching both seasons recently, right? So it's understandable that it's all too fresh.

When I first found out that he would die, I created an MDL account, a bunch of forums here, and I ranted non-stop. I was never a YaoLiu, but I couldn't accept that the author killed the best character she could possibly have created.

Then, as the days went by - and other factors too -, I learnt to accept the ending for a few reasons. 1) If he hadn't died and had ended up with XY in a typical HE, he wouldn't have become as memorable and beloved as he's been since the novel was first written in 2013. People like tragic characters. The power of the what-if is bigger than the power of a simple happy ending. 2) Xiang Liu was never meant to XY. He was meant for the audience. The things he did weren't made known to her. Only the audience is privy to them. The epilogue was written so that the reader/audience could understand everything he did and why he did.

As HeadInTheClouds pointed out, there is a link to some really good fanfics that help cope with the ending and other feelings. Our AH wrote an excellent one, and it's in English.

This too shall pass :3

Yep. Despite having watched many dramas prior to this one, also made this

MDL account for it.

Despite how much it upset me, am happy with the conclusion Tong Hua gave him.

Without the decision he made for

himself throughout the narrative, Xiang Liu would be just another

typical character. In different universe, thus hope that XY/XL wil

have their well-earned happy ending. That's why want to read as many fanfiction

as can to help me forget the sad conclusion and to calm my mind.

For me, it's a carrot. But for Plor, I think it would be a threat to get a writing :-). I don't know about ZYHLJ.

You're probably not the only one who did this.

Yes. We love him for all the things that he did.

Fanfictions can be good for this. Use Chrome's built-in translation function to read the Chinese fanfictions that are linked on the first page of this thread. Zhihu have a lot of fanfictions for you to read. Hopefully, they will provide you with solace.

Hmmmmmm 🤭 I've been preparing for an art show so my creative juice is being used somewhere else 🤣 maybe in fall and winter I tackle again.
