FL FALLS FIRST

FL GETS REJECTED BY ML

FL ATTACHED, ML EMOTIONALLY NOT SO ATTACHED

FL LOVED MORE

FL HURTED BY ML (ML GROVEL)

ML TRIES TO WIN BACK

ML LIKES OTHER GIRL

I May Love You – FL confesses first and gets rejected because the ML is focused on another woman. Once she gives up on him, he suddenly realizes he’s obsessed and spends the whole drama chasing her back.

Fireworks Of My Heart – they were deeply in love, got separated, and reunite years later. The FL still loves him, but the ML acts cold and distant because of past pain. Lots of yearning and unresolved feelings.

I Have A Lover ( old but recommend it 100%) – one of the BEST for “ML takes FL for granted and regrets it later, he chooses another woman, hurts the FL badly, then realizes too late she was the love of his life. Heavy grovel and emotional suffering – the ML falls harder, but the constant separations, sacrifices, jealousy, and misunderstandings make the romance heartbreaking. So much longing and devotion.

Hidden Love - is one of the sweetest “FL falls first and loves him for years” The ML starts caring for the FL when she’s younger and quietly protects, comforts, and supports her for years without expecting anything back. As she grows older, her crush on him becomes deeper and more serious, but you can tell he had feelings first emotionally. The romance is soft, warm, comforting, and full of longing, gentle care, and devotion instead of heavy angst.

Idol I– the FL falls first and supports the ML through his scandal and difficult period while he’s emotionally guarded at first. Slowly he becomes emotionally dependent on her and falls much harder later. Very healing and yearning-heavy vibes.

Second Hidden Love and Love's Ambition.

In Love's Ambition, William Chan does a great job portraying the ML desperately and comically trying to win her back. It hits several of your desired elements, in fact!

It's not from the past five years, but since I see it on your Plan to Watch, perhaps you haven't yet seen Marry Me, Mary! (2010). I heartily recommend it, despite its age. Funny, sweet, with multi-faceted characters, and open-minded about off-again, on-again relationships, breakups, and marriage. The romantic landscape is an open triangle with a sweet, haunted 2ML and a temperamental musician 1ML. Her musician boyfriend gives the FL some difficult experiences, but everything's well within the realm of romantic comedy. This is a smart, deftly written drama with intelligent surprises. I think you'd go for the emotionally volatile ML and seeing the FL get rejected at least once (it's been a few years since I watched it).

Not sure about point 3, but maybe:

Filter (From FL's POV, all points checked. From straight man ML's POV, only point 6 and 7, more comedy than the romance)

The Good Bad Mother (all points from FL's POV, but not exactly a romance drama)

The Love You Give Me (minus point 7)

Twinkling Watermelon (all points, not exactly a romance drama)

Yumi's Cells Season 3 (minus point 7)
