Recent Chinese period/historicals

Any recent releases of historical/period Chinese shows that don't involve magic? I can get over wuxia, time travel and stuff but recently it seems even the period shows set in the mortal realm have magic and witches and all that. Any show where the leads and surrounding cast are normal mortal people with no magic?

When I mean wuxia I mean the 'flying' around. I can live with that.

Bloody Romance not sure if you categorise voodoo as magic, this series does involve voodoo but nowhere near xianxia (eg. Eternal Love, Ashes of Love).

Another mention for Yanxi Palace!  

Apparently Ming Lan is all the rage right now, though I haven't seen it. 

Right now, watching Legend of Hao Lan (starring leads from Yanxi) and Hua Buqi (aka. I Will Never Let You Go  on MDL) which I recommend for being funny enough
