I'm really late to this thread but Faith is one of my favorite "historical" dramas. No sad ending either. A lot of people were disappointed in the ending because it's so quick but there's real resolution and happiness if you're paying attention. I keep rewatching it and each time I find bits of info that make the show better. Aarang and the Magistrate is also similar in terms of endings.
