any good C-Dramas recommendations for a newcomer ?

I just started watching C-Dramas and it got me hooked !

I watched The king's woman and the legend of xiao chuo.

If you guys have any good recommendation I'm in!

I love historical dramas but I'm open to any genre.

If you have some dealing with mental health of just life in general (my fav kdrama is It's okay that's love) ?

The Rise of Phoenixes - this drama is reason I'm addicted to asian dramas now )))

really great show, characters, ML is just amazing, smart, charismatic, even dark and his acting is perfect

I've been watching c dramas for a few years now and here are some of my absolute favorites. They're all different genres, I hope you find something you like ^_^

Goodbye My Princess

Story of Ming Lan

A Love So Beautiful

All is Well (2019)

Battle of Changsha

My Huckleberry Friends

Eternal Love (the one with Yang Mi and Mark Chao)

Love and Redemption

When We Were Young (2018)

Oh! Also if you're interested in trying out a Taiwanese drama I highly recommend "Someday or One Day". It's an amazing Mandarin language drama.

Love O2O (modern day involving video games and romance)

Flavour It's Yours (On Viki it's called Instead of Tipsy Why Not Get Drunk?) (Modern day but interesting premise.)

In a Class of Her Own (This is a Chinese remake of a Korean series but I LOVE this version too. Period piece but not historical.)

Meteor Garden (Remake of the Korean Boys Over Flowers (and the Taiwanese Meteor Garden first I believe) but I like this version better than the Korean version and I haven't seen the Taiwanese version.)

Maiden Holmes (Period piece but isn't historical.)

My Unicorn Girl (Modern day involving ice skating and ice hockey and a cross-dressing girl in the dorms. Very good.)

Skate Into Love (A modern day story about a speed ice skater and a hockey player and their romance. Pretty good.)

The Romance of Tiger and Rose (Period piece but not historical. Interesting premise and pretty amusing.)

These are some of the ones I've watched and enjoyed and that I would recommend in general. I have a few more I've seen and enjoyed but I think this is a good start. I don't know if you'll like them all or if you'll like any of them but if you watch them I hope you enjoy them. 🙂
