I heard the hero was very cruel to the heroine in the wolf. Is he like this the whole time?

And I tried watching karn before but I felt the guy only liked her because she looked like someone else. Does that get resolved and he just really loved her for her?

No he is not cruel throughout he's crazy Protective though...loved that part.

In Karn he is initially attracted to her because of his ex gf Botan but he falls in Love with FahSai because of her heart..
