In most of these dramas, the FL was either forced by extreme circumstances to approach the ML or otherwise didn't really want to approach the ML. Also, I wouldn't say any of the MLs in these dramas were "heartbroken", but some of them were hurt / upset when they found out the FL hid the truth from them.
