Looking for something with as much depth as "Word of Honor"

So, as the title says, I am a bit blown away by Word of Honor right now, mostly because of the depth and multidimensionality of all the characters and how thorough the world building is from start to finish.

So I am looking for something in that vein, doesn't have to be wuxia or BL, actually this was my first proper watch of a BL. Any genre/any country, I would prefer if it had romance in it.

Nirvana in Fire and its sequel Nirvana in Fire 2 fit the bill very well here. You have a very complex story with amazing characters. it is definitely one of the best dramas and a good recommendation, especially considering that there will be another sequel airing in the next few months :). No BL though  but it is a historical cdrama 

Something that you might also appreciate is Winter Begonia. Also a very very well done cdrama with a beautiful cinematography and amazing characters. It also follows the bl mark. However, because it is a chinese drama, it is a more subtile approach. Nonetheless if you look for something like that Id highly recommend you that drama as well
